buy low on Kemp?

Plenty of rumblings lately about the Dodgers possibly trading Kemp. Speculation for targets has centered on the Red Sox and Mariners mostly, but the Twins should really be checking in on this. Big time "buy low" opportunity. The Dodgers have said they want to replenish their farm system so, aside from the untouchable trinity of Buxton-Sano-Meyer, would you put together a combo platter of top 10 prospects for him?

Back-to-back injury ruined seasons doesn't worry me too much. Doesn't mean he's injury prone, could just be bad luck. Seems like a gamble maybe worth taking. When he was healthy just a couple years ago he was arguably the best outfielder in the game.

Add to that the weak outfield crop in next years free agency , and you could flip him for double the return, especially if you get the Dodgers to eat enough of the contract to bring it down to 16-17 million per. In 2015 we should have Buxton up along with either Hicks or Rosario roaming the outfield, So we could trade low , use him as a 1 year stop gap and then sell high

There was another thread on this topic. Besides the torn labrum in 2012 which still hadn't fully healed in 2013, he then had very complicated surgery for microfractures in his foot. Both of thes types of injuries are career-threatening, if not ending. With the enormous amount of money left in Kemp's contract, taking him on is somewhat akin to having an even more expensive Justin Morneau-albatross contract until 2020.
