John Bonnes Site Manager Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I think TwinsDaily will be attending today's Minnesota Twins press conference where they'll be introducing Ricky Nolasco. Anyone have any questions they would like to have answered? My guess is we'll only ask a couple, but if you have some ideas, I'd love to hear them.

PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Ask about whether the Twins found good value in Nolasco and Hughes becasue they underperformed their sabermetric numbers, and if the scouts believed they could out preform their previous performances?
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Ask him what's the coldest temperature he has experienced and if he has even a remote understanding of what the temps are going to be like come Winter Caravan time...
zenser Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Other than the money, what was intriguing about a team coming off three consecutive 90+ loss seasons?
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I'm interested to know his thinking with regards to signing early instead of waiting at least until the Winter Meetings to let demand play out. Did he simply have a number in mind and intend to sign when someone came through with that number?
Major League Ready Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Last season he posted his best ERA since his first full year with the Marlins. What was different? Did he find something that he thinks is going to help sustain that level of performance?
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Ask him if we can cover up that hideous batters eye now that he's pitching.
twinsfaninsaudi Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Ask about whether the Twins found good value in Nolasco and Hughes becasue they underperformed their sabermetric numbers, and if the scouts believed they could out preform their previous performances? Yeah ask this.
Brandon Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 What was your next best offer and who made it? What are some of the factors you took into considering your choices for signing. I see you have a nice sports car for your avatar on Twitter. what are your favorite kinds of cars and will you get one with this new contract signed?
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Ask him if he'd like to throw to Mauer a couple of time. Though in spring training he's bound to.
Craig in MN Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 You should ask who the bald guy is at the table because Terry Ryan wouldn't make a signing like this. The Star Trib has a live stream of the news conference up: http://www.startribune.com/video/175907151.html
James Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Ask if Gardy has given him a nickname yet.
ashbury Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Other than the money, what was intriguing about a team coming off three consecutive 90+ loss seasons? Good job. First question asked, by the Channel 5 guy.
ashbury Verified Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Ask him what's the coldest temperature he has experienced and if he has even a remote understanding of what the temps are going to be like come Winter Caravan time... And this one quickly got covered too...

Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Tried that livestream, was very spotty on my wifi apparently, only heard one full sentence among various tiny snippets: "Free agency isn't the answer"
