He discussed that he thinks (or wonders if) the one-game play-ins create an excitement right after the season. Previously, some fans may have needed to get to Game 3 or Game 4 of the first-round for an elimination game. Now, there is a way of pushing fans to be interested quicker. Kind of makes sense to me.
