Terry Ryan on whether Jake Mauer could manage Twins

Jim Ecker of MetroSportsReport.com interviewed Twins GM Terry Ryan earlier this week while Ryan was in Cedar Rapids watching the Kernels.

 

In tonight's article, Ryan talks about Kernels manager Jake Mauer. Why he was moved from the Miracle to the Kernels, how he was viewed as a player during his playing days, etc.

 

Ryan also responded to a question concerning whether Mauer could be considered a possible future manager for the parent Twins.

 

"Why not?," said Ryan. "He's got a good work ethic. He runs a good ship. He's got discipline. His players play the game the right way. He handles media quite well."
