Yes, sport is always connected with emotions, bets, even excitement, but it should remain within the boundaries of respect. You can’t confuse “passion for the game” with insults, and especially with threats. For many, baseball is a way to unite generations, pass on the love of the game to children, meet friends, and not a reason for bullying. It is important for us all to remember: supporting the team and its players is much more valuable than aggression, which destroys the very essence of sport. It’s like in entertainment: you can experience adrenaline and excitement without causing harm to anyone — for example, through easy online games. Nothing about gambling is good.

I think the problem is gambling on human competition (this includes horse racing and I'm sure others).  If it's a test of skill, such as poker, or mere chance, such as roulette, the opportunity for corruption of the human spirit is much less.
