Sano 2013

With all the discussion about Buxton, methinks the same is called for with Sano. He's started out a house afire. Average a bit lower than Buxton, but crazy power numbers. While Buxton is facing young arms in very cold weather, possibly a hitting advantage, Sano is on the field learning a totally new position certainly a potential disadvantage.

Last year Sano, started like this then cooled off...a LOT! Is the same fate in store this year? Somehow, I hope not. The biggest concern I have is that his Home Run numbers get in the way of his development. There is a fear that he gets so occupied with the long ball that he forgets about singles. He could become a Hank Aaron or a Cecil Fielder and it will be important for coach "M" to make sure the right direction is chosen.

if he can keep up the crazy numbers (average and power) and maintain his current pace of K's, we may have someone that will be harder to hold back than Buxton. It's fun to be a Twins fan right now.
