Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Boy, we should probably save these runs for another day... but I suppose trashing the Texas bullpen isn't a bad idea.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 This team sucks! I wish they could hit and pitch and have a winning record by the break. (Hehe)
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 As an umpire, I'd be very disappointed that the Twins couldn't push that last run across so we could go home via the mercy rule.
Blake Verified Member Posted July 6, 2019 Author Posted July 6, 2019 Texas: Almost got you, almost got you! Twins: Meep meep!
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Ah, a nice, comfy win. Reminds me of how the Twins got here, by crushing the opposition.
obtusebanter Verified Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 That felt good.As nice as it is to see Schoop break out of his slump I'm even more heartened to see Buck smack a couple doubles and have his first good game at the plate since he got back from the wrist contusion.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 So...the Twins are good again? Asking for a friend.
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 So...the Twins are good again? Asking for a friend.Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold up there, buckaroo. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, we still have 2 games before the break to rack up errors, GIDP, earned runs, wild pitches, and strikeouts. Depending on how big that proverbial cliff we're on is, we may just manage to run ourselves into a triple play, as well!
Jham Verified Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 I like him as a 7-8 hitter on a good team. I think he'd be exposed as a middle of the lineup hitter on a bad team.A defense first 2nd baseman with the arm to play on the left side and power top hit 25hr is pretty valuable. I remember our first game in Baltimore this year after he was traded to the brewers last year. The fans gave him a standing ovation. Figured he must be well liked and respected. Not so much here. Our fans hate making hard contact resulting in double plays. Shame. The guys the type of good natured pros pro that help keep losing steaks short. 2 games to be exact....
Bavarian Provisional Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Perez regaining his mojo would be huge for this rotation. His last start against the Rays was huge, another would be even huger. Yuge even.
