BobAzar Verified Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 I'll be in DC in about a month, and going to a few Nats games while I'm there. Wondering if anyone else has been there, and has any insights on the best food at the ballpark or things to see/do at the park. Thanks
Doomtints Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 The best part about the park is the location. It's a short walk to everything interesting in DC and it's surrounded by great DC restaurants. As for the park itself: Lots of alcohol (it's DC, after all) and lots of junky state fair-style food. The food isn't as bad as Wrigley and there is a lot of variety. Check out Jammin Island BBQ.
Eris Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 If you are seeing a night game and plan to take the subway, there are potential concerns as the Metro stops running at 11:30 M-Th. 1:00 am F and Sat., 11:00 pm on Sunday. There was a lot of press surrounding this issue during last years playoff.
BobAzar Verified Member Posted June 4, 2018 Author Posted June 4, 2018 Yeah, Ive walked around the park a few years ago (Im sure it changed since then), but there seemed to be some cool places. BobAzar Verified Member Posted June 4, 2018 Author Posted June 4, 2018 Ive heard about the subway issues. I'm getting old, and have a conference that starts pretty early in the morning, so I doubt I'll be out that late anyway.
