Year of the Pitchers

For a handful of years, I've been pretty good at checking box scores of the minor league affiliates every day to track the position players worth following. Often times it ended up being "oh... Kohl Stewart was pitching.... I wonder how he did"

 

This year is different. Not that there aren't ANY position players worth tracking, but most of them are on the major league club at this point and now it's all about the pitchers

 

Berrios

Meyer

Gonsalves

Stewart

Jorge

Jay

Thorpe (eventually)

...and a handful of relief guys

 

I'm finding it harder to track them since they don't pitch every day. It's almost like I need a weekly "here's when our top pitching prospects are scheduled to start this week" post.

Now if Sano, Buxton, and Rosario can recover from a poor start and continue to develop offensively at the big league level we may have a contender with these top level pitching prospects.
