Just speculatin' here, but I wonder if he doesn't have the slider and change mixed up. 89 seems like a much more normal slider speed, and 85 more normal for a change.

 

Could be. I also wondered if the 89 wasn't so much a change up as evidence that he's changing speeds effectively on his fastball.

 

I'll be down there next week for 3 games & hope to see him pitch once to see some of this for myself.
