Is Fryer the only person the Twins gave permission to play or are some of our International players going to show up on their respective countries rosters?

Fryer is very deserving. 

 

I tweeted yesterday that a couple of former Twins, Andrew Albers (Blue Jays AAA) and Rene Tosoni (Sioux Falls - American Association) are on Team Canada. 

 

I don't think the Twins have any minor leaguers from Mexico right now. Not sure which other countries are involved in the Pan-Am games.

Mexico is not entered in the Pan-Am games.  7 countries represented, including Puerto Rico.

 

Your comment peaks my curiosity, though.  How many players currently in the Mexican summer league are out on loan from MLB teams who hold their rights?... and how many could be Free Agents come mid-August when their season ends, or sold to a MLB team beforehand?  Acknowledging that the level of play is obviously inferior to MLB, and probably most AAA ball.... Scanning the Mexican League stats, there are a couple power hitters with DH-type profiles and a few younger players in their mid-20s with high athletic-based slash lines.
