The DL is the best thing the Twins organization could do to keep this from getting worse. Some organizations rush pitching prospects, and they overwork young arms. Long toss programs and pitch counts can help, but overuse still happens. Yes, but they are also necessary evils. The Twins kept him from throwing the slider his first season, which I think we all could support. He slowly added it back last year. And, I don't think that the Twins can be accused of over-using him. Some might argue they've babied him (I've heard that too). Pitcher-injuries happen. We just hope for the best long term.
