Jesse Hahn -- Here's a guy who snuck up on a lot of people but I'm not so sure he should have snuck up anyone. He's from Groton Connecticut.

 

 

He almost certainly wasn't the best pitcher on his high school team, since he went to same school as Matt Harvey (and is only a few months younger.)

There were two from the same SE CT town fairly recently - Brook Fordyce and Pete Walker (now pitching coach for the Jays) are both from East Lyme, CT.  They would have gone to the same HS if Fordyce hadn't gone to the private Catholic school in the next town or if Walker had.  (Two of his three older brothers did.)

Schaefer was supposed to be a superstar coming thru the Atlanta Minors. Still a faint hope he can figure something out as an older dude.

Sure looked to me like Suzuki whiffed on the tag. Still, let's not give it back.

They finally showed an angle that seemed to show he got him on the shoulder.  If they had challenged, we probably wouldn't have seen that angle until 10 minutes after the call was reversed.

I know he's only been a Twin for 30 minutes but the Twins have made an inordinate number of baserunning mistakes this year and ... Molitor is on the coaching staff. Very puzzling. Maybe they're trying to be Molitoresque but only Molly was Molly.

Because you don't want to give up the out... It makes it harder to have a big inning and big innings win ball games.

 

Santana just needed to look to pull there... So in case he gets out... It's productive. Slapping it to the SS wasn't a good at bat. He had some pitches to play with.
