Pohlad Counseling services for Twins fans

Twins Video

Are you still anguishing over last year's comments about not spending any money? Are you still bothered by our trade to get Trevor Richards?

Does having our ace blow up in Boston bother you? Does every victory seem like the time we're going to turn it around? Does every loss feel like the end of the world?

Are you still wondering why Cleveland is winning games where their hits don't add up to the exit velocity of one of our best outs?

Are you still rooting for Rocco as he tries to unlock the greatest pinch hitter of all time despite the fact that he's 0 for 30?

Did you really think our two highest paid players would actually be on the field most games?

I could go on, but what's the use. Our famous owner and his bench coach I have now decided to help you out and make another million or two in fan friendly counseling services which will soon be broadcast over your favorite twins cable network- maybe.

On paper, the 2024 team should be worse than the 2023 team. It's starting to look like the 2024 team will end up with a worse record and no playoffs.

 As expected.

I think the Pohlads thought it was time for the pitching pipeline to provide some pitching to the major league club instead of shelling out for free agent pitching. Unfortunately the pipeline is only providing a trickle of help.

The defense has not helped the pitchers either. It has cost the Twins a few runs, many more pitches thrown and the snowball effect of longer innings and loss of momentum and added pressure on itself.

A win streak right now is all the therapy I  need.

I think our managers rely way too much on these ,"new age" stats. Hitting the ball hard is nice, but a hit is a hit, you've got to be able to hit em where they ain't. Expected stats are laughable. A guy goes 0-30 but they say oh, the numbers say he SHOULD be hitting .275 in these situations. What the computer says is EXPECTED doesn't matter, only what ACTUALLY happens. We need a little more old school baseball IQ in a manager, not someone who only goes by numbers and is too stubborn to admit when he's wrong and change up

If only they had guys who can stay on the field, or at least most of the time. They'd be in contention.

But what would the medical staff do?
