It feels like the Minnesota Twins and Byron Buxton are always trading health, production, and playoff seasons. For the first time since 2017, Buxton played over 100 games and shined at the plate from June 1st on, re-instating himself as one of the most feared power hitters in baseball in that span. Unfortunately, the team around him collapsed and we are left waiting another long winter to see him in the playoffs again.

I feel like it's grasping at straws to call this season a star season for Buxton. He nursed an injury again, he was rested a lot again, and he spent a long time on IR again.

In order for me to call any Buck season a star season he should man center field for 150 games and swing the bat well, steal some bases and cause havok on the base paths.

Until then it's another Buck season, an oh what might have been season.

Return to form?  Superstar?  Elite?

What’s with the Buxton obsession and the absurd requirement that everyone go along with the silly superlatives.   He’d had greater than 76 hits in a season just ONCE coming into this year.  His lifetime average is .243 and his lifetime OBP is .304.  He had 99 hits this year.  FACTS!!  Since when is this a superstar?   That’s an extremely biased opinion from a Twins fan who can’t accept of Twins fans don’t like this player.  Are you just trolling now?  Please cut it out.  I’m a Twins fans so this getting embarrassing.

Ohtani, Judge and Lindor had superstar seasons.  Bobby Witt Jr had a superstar season.

Stop it.  Please!
