Born and raised in Duluth Minnesota I have been UMD Bulldogs Hockey fan since middle school. And of course a North Stars fan but I’ll admit I didn’t follow them too closely. I lived in Vegas when they moved to Dallas and I couldn’t believe a pro hockey team would move from Minnesota to Dallas. So I’m a Knights fan and I want to see the Dallas no stars go down. Sorry, go Twins!
The issue I have with bullpen games is, the more pitchers you run out there, the bigger the chance you have that at least one of them isn’t sharp. I’m for starters, throw 6 or even 7
Right field is tougher than left, most balls in right are slicing away from the fielder, I still say the ball gets by him anyways, so no harm no foul, it’s gonna be a learn as you go with some of these guys
Not necessarily boneheaded, it’s literally the guys first time out there, right field in the majors is not easy, maybe MOY is the bonehead for putting him out there.
He’s a rookie, cut him some slack, even if he stays on his feet he still might not get to the ball so it’s past him anyways, lots of Twins veterans out here making bonehead plays on a daily basis
Speaking of Gibson, Tim McCarver told a story when he was catching him. Gibson was having trouble throwing strikes so McCarver goes out to the mound. Gibson says, “What are you doing out here? You come out here to tell me about pitching? The only thing you know about pitching is that it’s hard to hit.” McCarver said he never made a mound visit again when Gibson was pitching.
