  1. Hmmm. Perhaps some 70's funk will brighten things up on this (yet again) dreary day in Twincy.
  2. Another reason to find something else to do rather than watch the game. The first is that incessant tapping/banging when the Twins are up. What an embarrassing place to play baseball.
  3. I am not a baseball "insider." I am a casual+ fan who goes to about 10 games a year at Target Field and follows the Twins in the Strib. (Damn you LEN for dropping the beat and becoming a columnist. Phil, I LOVE your bylines. Megan, I cannot wait to read what you have for us.) I have long listened to Twins games on the radio. I am old enough to have known Herb Carneal as the voice of my youth. Ahhh summers. Herb was so languid, So much crowd noise to fill in the gaps. No uneccesary chatter. Games from the Dome sometimes seemed like Wally The Beer Man was the "color man" in the booth. When I visited the Baseball Hall of Fame a few years ago, I made it a point to honor you, Herb, alongside Harmon, Rod, Kirby, and Paul. John Gordon and his "Touch 'em all" were quite a shock to "Carnevors" like me, but I grew to love his excitable voice on the radio, Which brings me to Provus. I love Provus. He's not Herb. He's not Gordo. He's somewhere in between and he is so, so, good. I want (fingers crossed) for my grandchildren to know Cory Provus the way I knew Herb. Thoughts?
  4. Keep it up boys! If you can make it this fun all the time, it's going to be a great summer.
  5. How lucky are we to be Twins fans rather than White Sox fans. DEEEEEFENSE!!!!
  6. Carlos has SUCH a nice smile. Oh, nice play too.
  7. Maybe he can give Trevor some baserunning tips too.
  8. Did they just show Byron taking a sip of coffee in the dugout? If so I approve. Coffee makes everything better.
  9. Popeye's? Ugh. I hope that is only a chicken dinner we have against Detroit.
  10. If Coulombe has an eventful inning with a 5 run lead, we are in REAL trouble. ?
  11. If it had been warmer, I would have been at this game. Being that I don't want to use my precious flex plan tics when it is 50 degrees, I appreciate being able to watch an enjoyable game on a night before I don't have to get up at 3:15 am. Thank you Twins and thank you Joe Ryan.
  12. Heh. Thanks. Haven't been paying attention. ?
  13. Haven't been paying attention. Pineda, Badoo, Grossman. Where is Niko? I kinda wanted to watch Twins v Twins.
  14. I love double plays. This is why I love the Minnesota Baseball Team. They hit into so many of them.
  15. Justin just ended the inning broadcast saying, "This is fun to watch." Concur.
  16. Somebody in an older game thread said they were going to name their child Snotboogie. Could you do me the honor?
