  1. I was equally optimistic until loss number 63 occurred and my dream prediction died
  2. Magic Number Update: Division: 52 Wild Card: 55
  3. Let's all take a breath and remember Rome wasn't built in a day...neither were Jose Berrios or Kyle Gibson. Starting pitchers take time to develop and need opportunities at the MLB level Some promising things from Stewart: More breaking pitches that were competitive if not always strikes Castellanos AB was encouraging...finished him off with a 4-seamer up in the zone FB was running all over the place...not sure he knows where it's gonna go Velo topped out at what 97...that's encouraging Facing same lineup back-to-back is tough for a veteran pitcher let alone a rookie To me it looked like Stewart/Garver were trying too hard to hit spots...with the movement he has start it down the middle and take your chances...Garver was setting up on the corner or outside the zone (not to mention the Montok AB, watch Garver jump way inside to give the target on a 1-seamer) Lost season and all...give Stewart some run...looks similar to Berrios' first starts
  4. Come on LoFo....you're due EDIT: too be traded...might have missed that sell high moment
  5. Am I watching the LLWS...Mahtook looks terrible on FB in and the next pitch is a WE HANGY THEY BANGY
  6. Dumb pitch call...just dumb
  7. Garve-sauce should quit moving around and just sit down the middle and let the ball move left or right...kinda like when Gibby was a youngster
  8. Jack Morris abbreviated ramblings from all his other celebrations combined with an inability to pronounce some words/names
  9. I must have really been drinking from my Twins Souvenir Mug as only Dante and me had the Twins at 100-62 Which cleans up the only peeps to predict no playoffs for the Twins...Parker and Jeremy
  10. Magic Number Update: Division: 54 Wild Card: 56
  11. Can we Denny Green the MME for good now? "He is who we thought he was...and we still tried to have him close a game"
  12. Warm up Rogers...please!!!
  13. Journey man is not a closer
  14. Ronny-Rod looks to have lowered his Craig Counsel arms
  15. I would much rather watch Curtiss or Buzer cut their teeth in the 9th than MaGill
  16. I'm just gonna say...MaGill is Matty B 2.0
  17. You're MaGilling me Smalls!!!!
  18. That's how you win MoY...start Ehire at 1B know exactly when the righty reliever would be brought in...Brilliant!!!
  19. Twins could use a little looper to left please perfect spot for St. Joe
  20. I tune in to watch a blockable pitch not get blocked...much like this Game Thread...this game has gone to the dogs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugjWK82oWTo
  21. I'm sure one of us astute readers and writers predicted this...check out all the good picks here http://twinsdaily.com/topic/31056-td-pre-season-predictions-re-visited/
  22. Visual Learner here...can we get a different picture on this thread or the Roundtable thread...I keep forgetting which one I want to post to {note to moderators...I totally get it if there isn't another usable bullpen picture with someone who is still on the active roster}
  23. What seems like two season's ago the good readers of Twins Daily were asked to make the following predictions going into this fine season: Twin's Record Playoff Position/Results Offensive POY Most HR SP of the Year Reliever of the Year Rookie of the Year Seems like a good time to revisit how we all did...and who we have to root for to do better in hopes of confirming what we all know already...that we are fantastic prognosticators when it comes to the great game of baseball and our local nine Pessimism? Not at the start of the year Who ever said TD readers and writers are pessimistic must not have been around at the start of the year as pollsters predicted a banner year: Twin's Record: 91-71 Playoff Chances: 27 of 30 had the Twins in the playoffs (Parker & Jeremy had them missing the playoffs, Dante just didn't answer that part so take that how you will Offensive Player of the Year: Dozier, Sano, Buxton top three vote getters, I'd say we got that one right Most HR: Sano...thank goodness there's still time SP of the Year: Berrios Reliever of the Year: Reed...at least he didn't get traded...yet Rookie of the Year: Garver...if only he got to play more Here's a Summary of the predictions: Check out who actually predicted Nick Gordon as ROY and all the other results here
