    ESCOBAR OPPO!

An AL Central in which they currently sit in third place in... If we're talking about margin for error to take the division, sure. If we're talking about being a legitimate threat in the playoffs, not so much. It's still April though. This team hasn't shown an identity yet. That's why they play the game.

With Slegers coming up, I'm hoping that he starts tomorrow and Hughes goes to the pen. I'm doubly hopeful since I'll be at tomorrows game. I'd much rather watch Slegers than Hughes.

Looks like Slegers is coming up.

In my experience, some of the best BBQ I've had in Iowa are in smaller towns with family owned diners. One of the best meals I've had in Iowa was in the Amana colonies, but I don't remember which place it was.

It's not a passive aggressive thing. I'm displeased, I just express it in ways that don't involve booing.

I'll be there Friday. I'll pass around a sign-in sheet. I'm not one that boos people though.

I'd tell you, but I'm not sure you'd be able to hold down that dinner.

Nice play there by Austin. Feable situational hitting by the Twins.
  10. wsnydes
I think he was held up there.

None of the balls were in the zone...
  12. wsnydes
Not a good route to that ball there, Stanton.

I felt that last year, but hoped I was wrong. Still hopeful I am, but it's not looking good so far.
  14. wsnydes
That's smart hitting there. Beautiful bunt, killing the shift. Right in front of Stanton.

The Twins don't have one, let alone multiple MVP caliber players like the Yankees and Astros have. They have one legitimate starting pitcher and maybe two decent relievers. This team is marginally better than last year's team (maybe), and they weren't competitive with the front runners last year. I don't know what would make anyone think this team is in the same conversation as the best in the AL.
  16. wsnydes
You're right, it would have been much better had he gone down on three pitches there.

    Great AB Escobar!
  18. wsnydes
    Ouch.

That's what it looks like to me too. Dozier was doing what he should have been doing in that case. It's Grossman's ball, but he's got to call for it.
  20. wsnydes
Dozier colided with Grossman. Not sure if Grossman was calling for it or not.

For the love of God, can someone please finish off a hitter in an 0-2 hole???!
  22. wsnydes
I knew Yankees nation was far reaching, but that's absurd.
  23. wsnydes
Well that was a fun inning!
  24. wsnydes
I'm unclear of your true feelings, Chief. Can you elaborate a bit more? And how does Didi's HR change things for you?
  25. wsnydes
    Why?!
