  1. Great blog and pictures.
  2. Great setup. You climbed to the top of the food chain?
  3. I would not mind an insurance run or three. Or get 5 and bring in Graham.
  4. Maybe it's because Gibson is lights out good tonight?
  5. After suffering two significant injuries from sliding head first and a concussion, does it makes sense to require Buxton to slide feet first for a while?
  6. I wonder if there is any science as to which is better. Edit: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12855927 http://www.thinkbluela.com/index.php/2014/05/05/to-slide-or-to-dive-the-multi-million-dollar-question/ The second link seems correct to me.
  7. I have not been able to focus on this until now. Did it appear that May is injured?
  8. OK, now if I can bet my winnings on #3 on the roulette wheel and can win 5 times in a row then I can make the Pohlads an offer that they would not refuse. Have a great night all.
  9. I had a 5 hour meeting today and just got back from a 2 hour meeting. I need to rest up before doing anything else, plus I want to collect my winnings before things happen that might cause me to forget.
  10. It appears that I picked a good day to bet on the Twins.
  11. I am in Vegas tonight. I won't be able to follow the game, but have a bet down for the Twins to win. Go Twins!!!
  12. There are cave drawings of Chief as a child beside a wooly mammoth.
  13. It's great to have you back, Brian. I wish that the Twins could hit as well as you can write.
  14. Thanks, Seth. As always, you made this interesting from the beginning until the end.
  15. I think that if a manager wants a save it's hard to argue that Perk is not the best in baseball today -- he is leading the AL in saves and has not blown any. I also think that Gibson, Dozier and Plouffe are deserving but there are others who are better at their positions. I like how this team is winning without any dominant stars. With that in mind, my sentimental favorite would be Hunter, as suggested above by strumdatjaguer. My sense is that Hunter has had one of the best age 39-40 seasons in baseball history and I would love to see him recognized for a career of high achievement and a season of helping turn around his original team. I would love it if the Twins players unanimously asked the AL manager to pick Torii.
  16. Nice blog.
  17. There is a new mannequin on Rodeo who I like very much.
  18. I am buried at the office but it looks like this will be fun to watch on the DVR tonight. Go Twins!
  19. We all walk different paths. We cannot know what's going on in Hicks' head or all that he's been through in his life. It seems to me that "hating" a player who is on your favorite team is counterproductive. If Hicks does well then it may be harder for you to enjoy his success. And if Hicks does poorly, there will be no joy in that. I am hoping that this new leg kick combined with a manager who has a different approach will truly help this young man realize his potential. If not, then I will be sad but won't hate him.
  20. This was a tough loss and by the time I got to a TV it was over. I will stay at the office until midnight tomorrow if necessary for the Twins to win. At least I provided a useful straight line by referring to GSTT. I have managed to read the game thread and it was very fun.
  21. I am going home now. Maybe I will change the Karma by doing something different.
