  1. The Twins are honoring Chief's request for insurance runs.
  2. Based on his performance in Anaheim, we might be able to get Trout for Clete and a prospect.
  3. Now that the Angels fans have cleared out, you could hear the Twins fans cheering Hicks' single there.
  4. Perkins is now my hero -- gave us the chance to see Herrmann kick ass and make the Angels fans stay up late only to lose (assuming that the Twins hold on). Now if only something bad could happen to that monkey.
  5. That did not seem like a quality at bat from Plouffe.
  6. If the offense can pick up Perkins here, that will be huge.
  7. With these two potent offenses this one could go another 5 hours.
  8. I am sure that they are showing that filthy monkey on the big screen.
  9. More like summertime, but thanks for asking.
  10. At least put the ball in play with a man at second.
  11. Yes I was, until the very last Twin exited the dugout.
  12. I have rarely had a problem. Usually I make friends with the fans on both sides of me and we talk baseball during the game. Last night I ended up hugging the woman to our left, shaking hands with the man to our right, and consoling both of them for the Angels' loss. I have had some comments in the past, but nothing like Fenway.
  13. The consensus of the Angels fans around me last night was that Hicks would have had a shot if he had slid instead of just slowing down and getting tagged. We were far away, but our angle was good, and it seemed to me that if he had come in a full speed and slid, he might have been able to duck under the tag.
  14. I hope that Hicks saw Morneau's slide there. A veteran move!
  15. Weaver against Pelfrey tomorrow. I wonder what the Vegas odds will be on that one. We should send ChiTown back to get some money down on the Angels.
  16. Why not keep the defense guessing, at least until the pitcher begins his motion?
  17. I became a fan watching the 1965 World Series. I grew up in Memphis, but there was a radio station in Iowa that allowed me to listen to the Twins night games. I did not get to see the Twins live until law school, which allowed me to see them at Fenway.
  18. What is the point of squaring off to bunt before the pitcher even starts his motion?
  19. Hicks should bunt here?
  20. I am a strong believer in random acts of kindness.
  21. Anyway, Morneau was the only Twins player who came over to give autographs. Carroll was standing nearby, but no one asked him to sign anything. Morneau spend a good 8 to 10 minutes signing stuff, and the kids (and a few adults) were appropriately grateful.
