    It's been a bit unpleasant to watch games the past few days.

    What's wrong with the offense tonight?

    Not a "date". Just a fun dinner with someone I have not seen for 35 years or so. She brought her daughter, her son-in-law and one of her grandchildren. We had a lot of fun talking about old times and new times. The magic was still there, but I am a married man and would never do anything that would resemble a date.

    I have hated losing to the Dodgers since 1965, and hate it more now that I live in Dodger territory. We need some runs.

    That's gonna be tough since I am meeting her around 7:30, but I see your point. Maybe I should get an apartment for a month or two until she starts to miss me.

    I once ran for school board and a protest candidate and won. I found that honesty can be a major liability when you are an elected public official, so I retired from politics once my 4 years were up.

    I am having dinner with my high school girlfriend tomorrow night. Fortunately, I have my wife's permission, but I suspect that this will somehow backfire.

    I am glad that I have the game being recorded at home. I am not sure that I could have watched Burton out there without multiple tranquilizers.

    I was watching on Gamecast and appreciate you clarifying this.

    The Twins offense continues to bail out the starting pitching and Burton. Two nice wins in a row, capped by lights out closing by Perkins. Twins now over .500 again. I see some real positives here, including Fuld.
