  1. O's claim Liam Hendriks from the Cubs per MLBTR. They won't rest until they have another Twins pitcher!
  2. Rejoice! It appears to be fixed. Man, I would have never thought of that. Thanks.
  3. Oh.. interesting. It is IE at work.
  4. Oh, and for whatever reason, the formatting in this thread right now is fine. Perhaps it has something to do with threads over a page long? I have no idea.
  5. I'm bumping this. I've restarted my computer since and am still getting weird formatting. A lot of times the thread will end at the bottom of the page with the last thread of the page, and then nothing. The reply box and formatting of the pages typically goes all screwy - sometimes the reply box is at the top right corner of the page. It is making it a complete pain to read through threads because I have to return to the top of the page (and its weird formatting) to click to the next page of the thread. Am I the only one having these issue?
  6. I'm on board with the idea that its a positive move ditching one of the many corner outfield / DH types and their salary, regardless what the return is. I'm more pumped for that than the return itself. Seriously, between Doumit, Willingham, Collabello, Parm, Arcia, Kubel?.. and Plouffe though he has the saving grace as being considered an 'infielder'....something had to give. Gilmartin could be useful to us somehow on top of things. Solid trade I would say.
  7. I skimmed this threat quick, so maybe this was touched on and I missed it.. Anyway, one of my friends that is a Braves fan has read that the Braves at some point are/were interested in trading for KC. I, however, have not seen such information, though it would make sense if we continue to pursue pitching. Has anyone else seen anything along these lines?
  8. As far as former Mariners go, I believe you were thinking of Johjima.
  9. If the bikini one you are talking about was like a video game or something (they looked animated), I got it on my work computer also and I have no idea why.
  10. Lately it seems I have been getting severe formatting issues when I go into threads. What people type are showing at the bottom of their post with a bunch of empty box at the top. Sometimes it throws the sizes out of whack too and makes the boxes huge and empty. Whatever it is, it hasn't done it before until the past few days.
  11. I actually wouldn't mind Pelf on a two year deal now that he is another year removed from TJ depending on the money/years, but good Lord try to get some strikeouts into the rotation somewhere.
  12. Here's some solid update info from Wolfson again: http://www.1500espn.com/sportswire/Wolfson_Updating_Twins_offseason_plan_dont_expect_a_move_this_week112613
  13. We need a break from complaining about the Vikings
  14. I don't want to read too much into something like this, but I know my initial reaction was something along the lines of thinking "here we go again". We have seen some pitchers go off the board already, the pitchers we have interest in we aparently haven't offered to any, but yet we are being aggressive for pitching this offseason? I guess we have Kris Johnson so far. It is early but when you look at things so far, I just find it starting to be quite a bit deflating...until we sign a decent guy or at least are reported to have money on the table to SOMEONE (though no news is good news if it is going to involve Arroyo and three years).
  15. Oops, good call.
  16. To Arroyo, Garza, Nolasco, or Hughes per Doogie Wolfson (posted on MLBTR). http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/11/twins-remain-interested-in-signing-bronson-arroyo.html It's ok. I'm sure none will sign elsewhere before we would even be able to get an offer in.
  17. Ill answer my own post - looks like he had TJ surgery............. right up our alley! Otherwise stats wise he would look like an interesting player.
  18. Not really worth its own thread, but the Pirates designated Kyle McPherson today. Anyone know what his peripheral stats look like? Maybe we can swap Kris Johnson for him clearly kidding. Kind of.
  19. To the Royals 4/32, per MLBTR.
  20. You have to admit that the move for another pitcher that is more of the same in our system is quite deflating, especially when it could cost a roster spot to try to hold onto one of our minor leaguers that actually has a smidge of upside.
  21. Gotta get rid of those strikeout arms.
  22. I would agree that Kazmir paired with a higher impact arm wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I'm basing my preemptive spewing on Kazmir being our prized arm of the offseason, a la Correia last year. Preaching to the choir though.
  23. The thought of Kazmir being the only free agent signed pitcher for us makes me want to start practicing throwing up a little bit early.
  24. Too risky. Can't shatter his confidence and have him have to face Sale.
  25. Morneau out of today's lineup? Hmm ....
