    Margaritas need only decent tequila, Cointreau, and fresh squeezed lime juice. If you want sweeter you might consider agave nectar in place of simple syrup. It adds a nice depth. My most recent beer cocktail was lemongrass infused vodka, honey syrup, black pepper, chamomile bitters, and IPA, and it was absurdly quaffable

    There are actually some valuable non-paywall non-idiot sources on Twitter. The Paris Review, for one, will regularly post interesting pieces from their archives. I like the idea of constraint in Twitter, but sadly you are right that most take shortcuts that make a mess of things. I'm ambivalent about Facebook; I hate the phone. Maybe it's time I push for a renaissance of longhand but that's quaint and quixotic
