  1. In other news, grass is green. Also, water is wet.
  2. Don't clown around with Harper, bro. He can hear you.
  3. Minnesota State High School math. It's never come in handy before. Why should it now?
  4. He is the greatest Minnesotan. The best one we ever had. I probably under-appreciated him while he was with us. I love his music, and persona, and the whole bit, but I don't have stacks of Prince records in my home. So, I'm not going to shade myself as some kind of super fanboy. My favorite band of all time is the Replacements. That's not a "one of us" thing either, I just happen to think they're the best band of all time. But, here's the thing: if it weren't for Prince, there's a serious chance I would have never even heard the Mats at all (should note: I'm 27). Prince put this place on the map. If it weren't for Prince, MTV would never have come to town. My favorite band did everything in their power not to become famous, but they failed because the spotlight was there. Minneapolis became an important cultural zone in the 80s, and he's basically the reason why. Today, music is a pastime still. Band culture continues to thrive. Prince is basically the reason why.
  5. Dammit, Terry! Hicks threw a ball really hard! He could have thrown a ball really hard for us, but you BLEW IT!
  6. From what I've been able to watch, I agree. I think he needs to be a little more aggressive. He has such a good eye, and he ends up taking a lot of really close pitches. Every now and again, grip it and rip it, young man. Yesterday is a great example, roping a first pitch strike to deeeeeeeep center.
  7. jump off a tall building?
  8. Fiiiirst of all, more like National Child Labor Day, am I right you guys? Those lousy "leaders" have been getting fat on the backs of little girls for too long. ...OK, that didn't come out very well. But, the sentiment stands! Second of all, That's a weird group of words.
  9. Changed my mind. I like it!
  10. I want Meyer to have his shot, but it's got to be Berrios. I'm pumped about Meyer's reset, but you can't deny a guy who has performed so consistently well in the minors.
  11. That is something, isn't it? ooh my lord, what happens when this guy gets hot?
  12. One more Faith Night and I might jump ship.
  13. Royals. Definitely the Royals.
  14. Reason being, Dozier had really put the effort into bridging the language gap, and those two have really bonded the last couple of years.
  15. Those guys are best buds. Frankly, Escobar is everyone's best bud, but I think he'd stand up for Doziee above all. Very interesting observation though.
  16. Star of the game? Could be a few guys, but I'm going with Miguel SaYES and his HR + 3 BB.
  17. 'Seasoning' is a baseball term for add salt to.
  18. Well, I don't know about all of you, but I say YESlasco!
  19. But, hell, when you have Nunez, what's the use?
  20. Sure wouldn't have minded to see Park here.
  21. That happens a lot in these game threads. It's already happened 2-3 times to me this season. ...Oh, dammit.
