Yeah ... was kinda hoping to have both of them out there ... baby steps I guess

Since this really isn't a baseball discussion, and has moved beyond as it relates specifically to the Twins, I've moved this thread to the Sports Bar.

I actually think 'America, the Beautiful' makes a better anthem. Always have, probably always will. And as I said in the other thread, I think the 'performances' of it should stop. They are either bad, overdone or 'out of character.' There is no need to trot someone out there before every single game, no matter what the event. And how many of you sing along, or try to? I usually do, or try to, but I'm usually the only one singing. Do we need it at all before every game? That's another issue altogether.

Or Schafer to the DL ... but really ... why bother with that ... I guess released.

I don't mind it being played, but would be okay if it weren't. But stop the performances of it. Seems like they always have to trot someone out there and usually it's bad, or overdone, or out of character. Just find a simple version to play over the PA system if it must be played and be done with it. And get rid of GBA already. At this point it's just phony patriotism. And unnecessary.

Okay ... that's the game ... I'm off to the movies

You need to get your trip to Fort Myers next March booked now.
  8. Squirrel
This is becoming not the game to watch ... but I'll stick it out ... for now ...

For anyone who's seen 'The Age of Ultron' ... do you think it worth the extra cost to see the 3D version?
  10. Squirrel
It would have been an awesome catch, for sure ... not an error, though, that he missed it ... Hunter wouldn't have come close to it. (imo)
  11. Squirrel
sigh. 6-1 tribe ... this is a not so pleasant cbu
  12. Squirrel
cmon, May ... get the out! get the out! get the out!
  13. Squirrel
oh man .... waaaaaaa .... GET THE OUT ... GET ONE MORE OUT ...
  14. Squirrel
Sigh ... cmon Trev ... shake it off ... get it done!
  15. Squirrel
awww ... geeez ... wonder if Hunter would've had that .... probably wouldn't have gotten close to it ...
  16. Squirrel
To be fair to you, glunn, you did put the lineups in the 2nd post, but saying that didn't make for good copy.
  17. Squirrel
Heh ... I guess given what it was ... Plouffe 4th, Suzuki 5th, and the rest as is minus Bernier. So they inserted Benier where they did and pushed Suzuki and Esco and Rosario up.
  18. Squirrel
    A day off? I haven't heard anything.
  19. Squirrel
Plouffe was there and Suzuki 5th, but when Plouffe didn't make it to the game on time there was shuffling. I'd rather have Suzuki there than Bernier, but, well ...
  20. Squirrel
That was hit pretty well ... just not well enough
  21. Squirrel
I wonder if the pink bats are ... inferior in any way
  22. Squirrel
Kind of like a game thread ...
  23. Squirrel
    Heh ...
  24. Squirrel
Yeah, I think that's what the Cleveland announcers meant ... they are not taking more advantage ... But I went more snarky with it.
  25. Squirrel
In the pre-game the announcers were saying the Indians just need to find a way to win. Well, duh, isn't that the point of the game, to win?
