  1. Well, there’s zero expectation that they should be allowed to stay in the game in the 5th or later judging by how the staff is managed. What did he have coming into this inning, 2 hits allowed and like 50 some pitches? If you melt down at that point perhaps you just aren’t a good pitcher and/or your stuff is weak
  2. Sheesh, ugliness. So hard to find consistency from this offense.
  3. cease is carving us up like I did to the fresh watermelon I just bought at the store
  4. Can we just end this bleeping game already
  5. Duran beginning to give up a lot more hits
  6. Honestly though, he’s not been as horrible as he was early on. Gone at least 5 innings in 6 straight starts. Which is admittedly a very low bar but not bad in modern baseball and certainly not on this team. He struggled early when everyone else was doing well and now everyone else is struggling and he’s at least keeping us in games (again, a low bar)
  7. Of all people, rocco seems to give bundy the most leash
  8. Will be interesting to see how long bundy will go today.
  9. Just saw this on the ol Twitter
  10. Buy only if the person acquired can help for ‘23 and beyond. Sellers if they can pull a nice haul like they did for berrios and cruz. But doubtful they have anyone with enough clout to pull that off again. Wonder where things stand with correa
  11. 09 should have been it. How many turnovers did they have, on the road, and still should have a had a shot at a GW FG. Even after the saints committed assault and battery on Favre (and mostly got away with it unpenalized). I think they would have had a great shot to beat the colts. The twins have never really been close in my watching life. I do remember thinking we would win the AL after Joe mays shut out the angels in game one at the dome. Then it just all fell to pieces
  12. I was thinking about it recently and I think the 2009 Vikings were the best MN team I’ve ever seen. Most solid all around. Better than 98 due to a much better defense. Twins, I can’t decide which team was best. Im 35 so I missed out on the World Series years. I always give a nod to 2006. Had liriano not gotten hurt, that team could have won a pennant. 2019 also gets a mention
  13. Twins were 40-18 to start 2019. 2017 Vikings were 2-2 before they won ten in a row. But those years didn’t amount to even a title appearance.
  14. The stages of being a minnesota sports fan: -over excitement after a hot start -an unreasonable belief that “this is the year” -anger when things inevitably go south *-calm acceptance of a disappointing season -foolish excitement over a playoff berth after the team gets it together -utter disappointment * I am here
  15. As a long suffering minnesota sports fan, I’m at the acceptance point of the season. Usually happens around week 13 for the Vikings and august for the twins
  16. Considering our poor fundamentals, I think that would be a high risk decision down 3 in the 8th
  17. I had some words after the home run too. Probably would have gotten me run
  18. He had a good June but he’s not been good in July. This is now his 3rd appearance of the month where he’s given up big runs late. Don’t forget, he was also got bailed out by a play that has literally never happened in the history of baseball (8-5 triple play)
  19. Any moves made before the trade deadline should be for 2023 and beyond first. I’m sorry but we need so much pitching in order to compete. What are the odds Levine and Falvey can strike gold again ala the Nelson cruz move?
  20. I remember when Jax was the #2 man out of the bullpen. That was a wild two weeks
