  1. I find it difficult to feel sorry for most ballplayers. But that’s just me.
  2. The things I would do to earn his salary cannot be posted here
  3. Royce says he “ran out of gas”, according to a star trib article. That’s hilarious. Imagine if he had to work a normal job like one of us schleps I find myself caring less and less about sports as I get older 😂
  4. I think there is some self-fulfilling prophecy that is entrenched in the organization. Even starting pitchers. Can’t let them go deep in to games in the minors, and we expect them to do it in the majors? It’s like they’re engrained to think “I should come out of the game, I can’t see the lineup for the THIRD time!”. I think the entire organization needs an enema if we’re being honest.
  5. The entire organization needs to get back to teaching fundamentals. It was glaringly obvious that guys coming up from the minors were terrible at basic baseball skills, like baserunning and holding baserunners. Situational hitting. How could a guy like austin martin not be able to get a bunt down? I guess when you’re so obsessed with numbers you have less time for the basic stuff that’s won baseball games for 150 years.
  6. I watched many of the games but I never felt like I had to clear my schedule and tune in. Inconsistent lineups, scheduled off days, injuries. And the fact that they couldn’t beat a really good team to save their lives. Never bought in.
  7. Mike trout, who is considered to be always injured, had 8 straight seasons of at least 114 games played. Heck he even played 119 in 2022.
  8. Most unenjoyable twins team of my lifetime and there isn’t a close second.
  9. I guess we won’t need any more scoreboard updates 😂
  10. If any player has actually quit, they should be ashamed. Never understood that for professional athletes
  11. Um, this is his 101st game. How much more do you want?
  12. That it didn’t happen sooner?
  13. I don’t know, but I wonder if Orioles Daily did a front page article when he reached 100? 😂
  14. Good for them. They’ve stunk for years.
  15. AJ was a little too abrasive for the twins at the time. Of course they got a haul for him in the trade but I think we could use some tough guys now like him who could play, and at an important position. But we like guys who fake taking pictures behind the mound after a big mid-June win, or putting a silly vest on when they homer.
  16. I wonder if the front office will be doing another Pablo Day scheme next year ? 😂
  17. I don’t see too much beyond criticism on this thread? Maybe some strong indignation at the idea that we should celebrate a guy doing something like that, the morning after being eliminated. No one is calling for violence or ugliness. Fans can sometimes be irrational, but that’s why they’re called FANatics. These are ball players, they aren’t above sometimes harsh criticism.
  18. Yeah there are some who will accept no criticism of certain team personnel, whether they be players or staff. I don’t get that mindset, this has largely been an unsuccessful franchise for over 30 years. It’s crazy to me. 11 out of the 15 AL teams have won a pennant since the last time the twins have. Criticism is very warranted
  19. I don’t disagree, but 3-6 will happen when you rarely play 100 games though. I’m a firm believer in “the best ability is availability” and he will go down as one of, if not the biggest “what ifs” in franchise history. This article was simply rage bait
  20. 2 of the last 3 seasons have seen a large late season collapse. How you bring back the same staff after what just happened is puzzling, at best.
  21. I think some of these articles are written to elicit anger and thus more clicks and traffic. “I know we just completed the worst regular season collapse in team history a mere 12 hours ago, but at least our star only missed two months worth of games this year!! Yay!” I guess we’re playing in to their hands by commenting 😂
  22. Agreed. He wasn’t supposed to just be “a guy” he was supposed to be “THE guy”. Nothing against him personally but we could have really used him that month he was out. Wonder if things would have been different
  23. Loser mentality. Curious timing for an article like this, a day after essentially being eliminated
  24. They really were awful. Almost all of them
  25. He stopped running hard about 40% down the line. Very clear
