    The 3rd and 4th best teams used to get a best of 5. I know they used to get nothing before the recent franchise expansions, but I think the top 3/4 should get more of a chance. Sure, this is slightly better than the one game wild card playoff. Baseball is too much of a crapshoot for anything less than 5 IMO

    I’d be ok with the Yankees winning the ALDS and losing the CS. Even though it would be an ALC team doing it. Yankees hate trumps all (to me. Although it would definitely be tough to see Detroit in the WS.

    Wonder if they could ever do 3 five game series throughout the playoffs. But then the top seeds would be sitting for a week. The 3 games just doesn’t seem right to me.

    Best of 3 series in the playoffs are bogus. Both the Astros and orioles finished with better records than, and were better head to head against their wild card opponents. And they’re done. Well, not yet for Baltimore. Any team can win a 3 game series. The white Sox won 7 of them.

    Gonna guess that not many people had ever heard of the royals manager before last season. Yet here they are. Only the 6th team since 1969 to add 30 wins in a season. A game away from ending the Astros run of ALCS appearances. Whole bunch of bench coaches and assistants out there just waiting for a chance…
