  1. I understand what you’re saying but I’ve had several giants fan friends texting me “good luck” already today 😂
  2. I assume he’s going to be expensive since there are so many teams in need of a competent quarterback. Do the Vikings want to get in to a bidding war? I’m just wary of handing the keys over to a guy who played a couple quarters in the preseason and is coming off an injury
  3. Is it at all possible that if they make a deep playoff run, Darnold DOES come back? I mean there isn’t any evidence (because he hasn’t played) that JJMc could do as well as Darnold has.
  4. Yeah I’m definitely not singing the praises of Mullens and his penchant for turning the ball over. But jones does too. I’ve seen some tweets about jones being used near the goal line. I’m assuming they weren’t joking lol
  5. Fair point.
  6. I don’t know, he’s been in the league long enough to say he’s just not really good. Is he jumping ahead of mullens this year? Because like, they’re both backups but I’ve seen Mullens throw for 400 yards and almost beat the lions a couple times last year. Not saying he’s good but I can’t say jones is any better. Plus he at least knows the system.
  7. The Vikings trophy case is full of those
  8. I really don’t understand this
  9. The lions, packers, eagles and Vikings could all conceivably make it to the Super Bowl. I wish we had one of those teams like the ‘09 Vikings. That team would win this conference. I just don’t think the NFC is very strong this year. I’m still not totally sold on Philly either. 25th toughest strength of schedule according to espn. Vikings could beat them, but would surely rather see them at home,
  10. I mean, we also play the lions on the road, packers and bears. It’s the 5th toughest remaining strength of schedule per espn (14th toughest up to this point). We’ll certainly learn more than playing the AFC south dregs. And by the way, unless we overtake the lions (unlikely), we’ll almost certainly be facing either the south or west winner on the road in the wild card round. Could easily be Atlanta, Seattle or Arizona.
  11. Yes I would have laughed but that’s irrelevant now. Darnold is the 9th ranked passer in the league and the conference is having a relatively down year. This chance may not present itself again. I think this is only the 6th time they’ve started 9-2. The remaining schedule is full of possible playoff teams so we will see where they really stand in short order.
  12. They’ve got more than a few. Funny thing is, since the merger, they’re a bottom half team. Almost bottom third. 20th in win percentage. The Vikings are FIFTH 🤦‍♂️
  13. You may have some team in desperate shape for a starter that they could try him I suppose. There’s no shortage of teams in bad QB spots (your jets included). But people said that it was a reach to draft him that high and now the results have kind of proven that. I’m not sure why the Vikings would move off a guy who’s been here three years and knows the system. Plus, hey he came off the bench and completed a huge pass yesterday. I know it was a glorified dump off but it’s nice to have a guy who knows what’s going on and can step in like that
  14. I mean he’s wildly careless with the ball. But he can also throw 4 tds and 375 yards out of nowhere. He’s a backup. But jones is too, in reality. He was just drafted too highly to be one in New York. I don’t see how it would be an upgrade. Especially in season.
  15. We’re grousing because we all know how this is going to end. I’m 38 years old and I’ve never seen them even qualify for a Super Bowl in 31 years of following them. Think about that. Yes it’s great that they’ve overachieved since we all expected them to stink. But at the end of the day, barring a surprise, they’re going to be walking off some field in January with nothing to show for it except another playoff appearance. Just like all the other years. I suppose it’s always possible that they’ll go on a run like some teams do in the postseason, but what are the odds of that. That’s why it would be a little comforting to see them go out and bury some of these lesser teams. At least once in a while. The NFC is wide open after the lions, who I do think can be had. But we’re squeaking by these bad teams. The talent is there in a lot of sports but something seems to be missing. I guess what I’m saying is, the NFC is having a down year. It wouldn’t take THAT much to get to the Super Bowl. It’s not like there are 5 teams ahead of us. But the in game mistakes are not instilling confidence. And by the way, there are zero guarantees about next year either. We’re going to be counting on a rookie (who has had zero experience in games that matter and is coming off an injury) to just step in and put up even comparable numbers to what darnold is doing (9th highest passer rating). Again, I guess it can happen. But will it?
  16. I simply cannot stand wide receiver divas. I hope Addison keeps a lid on his diva-ness. I feel like it’s bubbling just below the surface. Other receivers can learn from JJ. Also, Daniel jones stinks and quite honestly, I think mullens is better than he is. I’ve seen enough giants games to make that statement. I see no point in signing him.
  17. I don’t like this as an avowed eagles hater
  18. I have a hard time believing in the eagles but they’re knocking the rams around in a way I hoped the Vikings would have
  19. The rams don’t look very good.
  20. Yeah. I know Purdy didn’t start today, but that win in week 2 doesn’t seem nearly as strong as it once did. Same with the Texans. They’re 7-5 now after somehow losing to the Titans today
  21. I’ve used that gif often, love it
  22. Especially considering the penalties. But boy are there weak spots on this team. Too many
  23. JPR starting a kicker controversy 😂
