  1. Appears that he was starting with the twins in 08-09. Time flies
  2. lol yeah I can’t get on him too much. Sure he’s grown out of the surly 20 something ball player attitude. But he wasn’t friendly at the time. Must have improved since he’s on the air
  3. I’m going to guess it was around 07-08 or so. He may have been a starter then with Rochester ?
  4. Seeing perkins in the bullpen. I’ll never forget when I worked in minor league ball, seeing him hanging out in the pen pregame and telling him that he pitched a good game the night before and he completely blew me off lol
  5. My Yankee fan friend talked about how healthy Byron has been this year. Idiot jinxed it
  6. Just because you don’t agree with it doesn’t make it senseless. Roughly the same situation occurred in miami last week and the only thing that saved our hide was the ball hitting the umpire. Not one person has yet to acknowledge that our bullpen is statistically below average. I don’t understand the carnal desire to get into our bullpen that is inconsistent at best, especially when the starter is rolling with a low pitch count.
  7. Ok post examples of it happening then. The only thing I’ve ever seen to even come close to what you’re claiming is questioning why a guy doing poorly is allowed to stay in and someone doing well gets pulled, like last night. Which is absolutely a fair gripe.
  8. Not at all I’m in most every game thread and it’s rare to see anyone whine about a starter being left in too long. Maybe because it rarely happens. Bottom half in innings per start.
  9. I really don’t think 90% of people would have thrown a fit had he stayed in and coughed up the lead. It’s not like our bullpen is some juggernaut that isn’t squarely in the bottom third or half of most statistical categories. As far as SWR being sent down to the minors, how soon we forget the early season struggles of Jax. And Duran at times too. And I reiterate, SWRs numbers do not fall off the cliff in the hallowed third time through the order. You can’t manage every single game like it’s the postseason. Nobody does that. It’s a Tuesday night in July and it’s a long season. Some posters defend the twins pitching philosophies as if the organization hasn’t been solidly mediocre for years now. You even had Pablo saying it sucks to get pulled while live on air. Imagine what they say in private.
  10. I have seen it happen too, but the numbers aren’t nearly as bad as some of the comments would indicate
  11. I had to look this up and I’m not seeing where he’s so awful the third time through the order. Is this just one of those things that gets repeated so often it’s just believed to be true? Or am I completely wrong, which is totally possible.
  12. He’s not the worst manager in team history. But it’s more than fair to question the handling of pitchers by a franchise (staff and FO included) that rarely, if ever, develops reliable starting pitching. SWR has been a much needed bright spot since returning, and he’s treated with no confidence. Would suck as a player and even Pablo said as much during the broadcast, albeit very diplomatically. It’s not like the twins approach to pitching is producing big dividends. They’re bottom third to bottom half in just about every statistical category
  13. I remember last year saying that they looked like they could be a good team and some poster made fun of me because of their record and I haven’t forgotten about it 😂
  14. You and I could probably get 2 outs before allowing 7 runs. I think we’re ok
  15. I like it much better when the tying run is somewhere in the dugout though
  16. Still doesn’t have to come in. He pitches violently, i’d not have him throw meaningless pitches in game
  17. He actually did lose one though, just last season.
