  1. Postseason pitching plan: odorizzi, berrios and pray for 3 days of rain
  2. I speculated earlier about their chances in the postseason, but my argument with you was that I don’t think the staff as a whole would be considered above average, regardless of where they are in the stats right now. Too many guys pitching wayyyy above their career numbers. Do you think, stats aside, this is the 4th best staff in the AL?
  3. You’re talking about a fan base who has seen their team win ONE playoff series in almost 3 decades and you wonder why there is sometimes doubt.
  4. That’s fine, I’ve just seen enough sports in my day to recognize players usually don’t perform way above their career averages for an entire season.
  5. Yeah, Let’s see where we are come September. Or July at this point
  6. Meh, who would be the current day viola, Blyleven, berenguer and reardon? I’d feel a lot better with reardon on the mound to close a game than any of our guys
  7. I wonder if a team has ever won a World Series with an average or worse pitching staff
  8. This whole staff is not ideal for June, let alone October
  9. Gibber the nibbler up to 40 pitches already
  10. Ha, don’t think marriage means you can no longer take a K
  11. Twins have now struck out 42 times in the past 4+ games
  12. I can’t find the quote or which manager even said it, I guess it was Billy Gardner judging by the year, but it was something along the lines of “my closer is over there crying in his locker, does anyone feel bad for me?” Edit: the quote is from ray miller when he was asked if he felt bad for Ron Davis. He said “do you ever feel sorry for me? My future depends on a reliever who’s sitting in front of his locker right now crying.”
  13. I wasn’t even born and I still know who he is
  14. Haha a 91 mph chest high fastball. The miggy of old would have hit that one to flint
