  1. Correa has been traded to Houston.
  2. Would they be able to bring back someone like a Bryce Mayer in a trade for Correa? Is that too low or too high?
  3. The Met's are the team I'd like to Twins to try and make a trade with. Their four top prospects are all interesting and at either AA or AAA.
  4. I'm assuming they will get through the trade deadline before moving some players around, but Gonzalez should be in AAA now, and a case could be made for both Jenkins and Culpepper to be promoted to AAA as well.
  5. I have little belief in Rodriguez. Maybe he's stops getting injured three times a year, but I doubt it. I think Jenkins will be an all-star in time but is likely a corner outfielder. I'd rather have Gonzalez as a part time outfielder and more of a full time DH based on his lack or athleticism and overall poor defensive ability. I think Crawford has the potential to be an all-star center fielder and greatly improves the athleticism of the team. Add in Jenkins and Keaschall and the Twins would have the potential to be a very athletic team.
  6. I would do probably do that deal but I'm very high on Crawford. I would prefer if they added another player to the trade through.
  7. The person who wrote this article misquoted the original article they linked. I don't understand what you're not getting....
  8. "teams look at what the Twins are asking for to acquire Duran or Jax -- at least two top-100-caliber prospects -- and aren't inclined to spend a whole lot of time workshopping deals for a top-10 starter this season with two more years of club control" Directly from the original article.... Asking price is for either not both. Teams looking to acquire either Duran OR Jax are being asked for two top 100-caliber prospects.
  9. It says they're open to trading both, but the return would still be two top 100 prospects for each.
  10. I would want De Paula or Quintero from the Dodgers. Jefferson Rojas from the Cubs would interesting as a 20-year-old recently promoted to AA. I'd want Justin Crawford from the Phillies. Any two of the top four from the Mets would work. Jett Williams and Nolan McLean would be great. I wouldn't want anything from the Yankees prospect pool as I feel like they tend to be overrated. Detroit would need to way overpay for that to make sense since it's in the division. Something like 3 top 100 prospects and I doubt they would do that.

  12. Then they don't get an all star quality closer with basically three years of control. Look at what the return was last season for Tanner Scott who's contract expired at the end of the season. The Dodgers would be getting two addtional years of control, so the return needs to be significantly more.
  13. With the Dodgers I think it's Rushing plus two additional top 100 prospects at a minimum to make the deal. Duran has basically three years of control left, so the return needs to be extra. People keep talking about River Ryan, but that's a very big gamble. He had tommy john surgery last August, so likely won't pitch until next season. Who knows if he comes back from that. I'd want Rushing plus someone like Eduardo Quintero and then another prospect.
  14. You have to wonder if Gonzalez moves up to AAA soon and if Jenkins is right behind him. If they're both hitting like this by the end of the first week in August, they should move up.
  15. Here is Falvey speaking recently to Jon Heyman. It does seem like he's open to trading any and all players if the right offer is made.
  16. There's also more potential for growth with the Rays. They aren't locked into one location with zero development opportunities around it like the Twins are. The new owners could move the Rays wherever they want, own the stadium and the land around it and development everything. New hotels, restaurants, and businesses. That's where the real growth it and it's why Ishbia chose the White Sox as well. He's from there, but he also seems like a smart business person. If they move the White Sox from its current location to a place where they can develop around it, they stand to make significantly more money.
  17. Not sure what to make of this, but hopefully Manfred taking questions on this topic does actually mean a deal is moving forward.
  18. If the Twins trade Ryan, the return needs to be quality over quantity, and it needs to be for players who have spent significant time at either AA or AAA. I'd say a minimum of three top 100 players who are currently at AA or AAA. If teams aren't willing to give that up for a top of the rotation pitcher with basically three years of control, then they need to hold until him.
  19. Nice to see Rodriquez activated. Hopefully he can stay healthy and get an opportunity this season with the Twins.
  20. If Jenkins is still hitting like this by the beginning of August he should be promoted. No reason to keep him in AA.
  21. Tait is an 18 year old in A ball. He's hitting ok, especially for his age, but it likely 4 years away from the MLB. Phillies Top Prospects
  22. Crawford is who I would want the Twins to target in a trade with the Phillies. There's potential for him to play in the MLB this season.
