  1. Heh... I keep checking back in--- So we score again, and....... Leadoff double! Good going, Erv! Get going, Erv...
  2. What is the deal? Seriously, Ervin, what is the deal? One zero. How about one? Just one.
  3. I actually am doing a little work today- but not enough to ignore the fact, that once again, we were able to keep that Twins Way® consistency of making sure we give back all the runs we just scored- and usually more. Thanks, Erv!
  4. He's done that a bit lately. It's encouraging. Rather see him do it in the 7 or 8 spot, but, I'm not the one working over my wad of gum in the dugout.
  5. Slama-lama Ding-Dong? That's what I'm thinking. Gotta represent the silver-haired among us.
  6. Goes without saying. And on a stick, so you can have it at the fair.
  7. Hm. I "Always" (heh... I said, "Always") thought a zephyr was a gentle breeze, rather than a brave warrior. Ya learn sumptin' every day. Oh, and I'm always a 33-loving cat too, but I gotta draw the line somewhere. My line is on Madison Avenue, facing south.
  8. Then, cover it with some gooey cheddar, and we're in business!
  9. Tell you what, tho, Always- Sacrilege on the 'Sox' stuff--- And who is that avatar, Tommy Trojan, or Sparty? Neither are acceptable to right-thinking, red-blooded 'Mericans.
  10. This would have been better if the Supertramp song would have kicked in at the end-- Oh, wait, I can play it myself. Just a sec, have to re-read the opening now.
  11. Wow..... A WINNAH!! And- no trailing in the game! Well, that should take care of the month of June. I can't wait til we have another one!!
  12. I'm sure yer gonna fit right in...
  13. Aw, AJ! Missed ya, buddy! Heh... gotta love that GameDay thingy, what with the "84 mph 2-seam fastball," followed by that "83 mph changeup." How to tell the difference, hmmmm... That's really got to throw those MLB hitters off, even Twinkie ones.
  14. That might harken back to that Spinal Tap tune...
  15. Boy, it sure is nice to enjoy a game into the latter third for a change. But, while most teams' fans can relax a little at this point-- let's see- 6 runs, with 9 outs to go... still feels like a ticking time bomb.
  16. Wow, letting the runs pile on in the later innings, kicking the ball around every which way... Is the "Twins' Way" contagious? Them Angels got it ba-a-a-a-a-d.
  17. "...talk about mudflaps, my girl's got 'em..."
  18. Grossy and Bux have Park's Disease, though, and can only hit solo shots.
  19. Heh... I HATE those rocks. I lived in LA for the 2000's, til I mistakenly took a wrong turn and came East- But had to go to that godforsaken OC for my Twinkie fix every year- (and also the Yanks- cuz it would get ROWDY- that's another tale for another time) But, in those early 00's, Disney still owned them, and also the Ducks, and it was nothing more than a cross-marketing opportunity for them. Get those turistas to stay in the same Disney hotel, and hit Disneyland and a ballgame or hockey game on the same trip. $$$ That's when they had those truly, truly, worse-than-the-70s-Astros uniforms, with the angel wings on the PERIWINKLE jerseys, (cross marketing for their 'Angels in the Outfield" movie), and the Ducks, of course, (cross-marketing for their 'Mighty Ducks' I-VII), in their signature maroon-and-teal. (TEAL!). So, Disney had just opened their "California Adventure" theme park, and that's when they put those ridiculous, stupefying rocks in the ballpark- to slyly suggest to baseball fans, that, 'Hey, I wonder why I suddenly feel the need to visit Disneyland's least-attended theme park..." When Artie Moreno took over mid-decade, and made the Angels be from LA again, and got rid of those unsightly periwinkles for major-league red, I thought he'd maybe get rid of those stupid rocks, too, but.... bridge too far, I guess.
  20. Thanks, Bux- I'm gonna sure miss you when Mastro gets back.
  21. Whaddya call a boomerang that doesn't come back?
  22. I like this facing Trout with the bases empty idea. I hope we can do that a couple more times.
  23. 11:41 AM, and a pissing rainstorm, as usual around the noon hour. And... I really oughta be 'working,' but, it's exam week, what the hey...
