I meant it as- "A gradual building of applause, usually starting with one person clapping slowly, and ending with an enthusiastic standing ovation. Generally shows approval for an underdog in a come from behind victory or after losing with pride intact."

    **slow clap**

    I would die.

MLB.com is proposing Dozier to the Cards for Kolton Wong, Luke Weaver (RHP), and Austin Gomber (LHP). Tickle anyone's fancy? I'm not sure Wong would really bring any value-- thoughts?

I'm beginning to think that all of the speculation has been off. As in, if it were as easy as any of the prior 3 player packages that have been discussed, it would have already happened. In that case, I'm hopeful that maybe we can get them to offer higher quality in a smaller package. IE, maybe Urias isn't off the table, and the Twins are being bulldogs about it?
  6. GP830
Is it at all possible at this point that there is a 3rd team involved?

I'm still amazed that there are no real updates. Still just rumblings. Is the new regime seriously this tight-lipped???

I'm sure this has been discussed in the previous 70 pages, but has Joc Pederson's name been floated? He's a strong bounce back candidate, young, controllable, and would let Rosario be the 4th OF that many think he is. Not to mention he's a lefty bat. Too much?

DaveW is the hero we need right now. Not the one we deserve...
  10. GP830
Haha-- Twins Daily is making literally dozen of dollars off this!
  11. GP830
Mad props on your flexible communication style.
  12. GP830
DaveW is a hero, and should be treated thusly. Unless this doesn't happen. Then he'll just be a guy. But I have to commend his sticktoitiveness.

I like De Leon, but only if we're getting significant talent on the back-end of the deal as well. Alvarez and Lux would do it for me--and I don't think it would be an overpay. A 4th player would be superfluous. I also have to believe that the Dodgers would entertain another piece from MN if it was a fit.
  14. GP830
I wonder if that SS Lux is in the conversation?
  15. GP830
Yankees are said to be targeting power this offseason. Would Dozier be a solid centerpiece for a trade involving Gary Sanchez?
  16. GP830
Their names are close, which is why you've gotta keep 'em separated.
  17. GP830
    THANK YOU!
  18. GP830
Sorry- I gotta ask. I see people use the abbreviation SSS on this board all the time and cannot for the life of me figure out what it stands for. Can someone please explain? I have a feeling I'm gonn feel silly for asking...

The idea of moving Dozier to third to make room for Polanco has been brought up briefly in the past. This seems unlikely but could team pick him up to play 3rd?
  20. GP830
How about Dozier and Gonsalves for Dee Gordon and Jose Fernandez?
  21. GP830
    "Day-Arnold"
  22. GP830
That makes sense. He DID make some nice throws in 9th tonight. Especially bare handing that chopper. I'm optimistic.
  23. GP830
His glove at SS has passed the eye test thus far but the arm does seem a bit weak. Perhaps someone can weigh in on why it's tough for someone at this level to strengthen their arm?
  24. GP830
    Welp, seeya later!
  25. GP830
    I was waaaaaay off.
