  1. Arraez skipped over 5 Twins middle infield prospects to arrive here and he looks pretty snappily good.
  2. Not to be snooty but that's a Dorothy Parker quote. That old woman you know stole it!
  3. Hey, I have a new idea!! Sano should shorten his looping, round, tremendous, arching, sweeping swing ....ala Garza and Cruz.
  4. Skepticism over believe every day. It doesn't matter one bit if I do, or don't, believe in them.
  5. Harold Reynolds just pointed out that in 1995 the Mariners came back to win the division from 13 games back. How far back were the 2006 Twins before they went on that 28-2 run?? In other words, words of caution.
  6. I was not aware of that. Thanks. (I see too that he has an OPS of .468 against lefties. Ouch.)
  7. At least Kepler has been moved off the lead-off stop.
  8. Yes, regardless of the outcome - and often young players called up disappoint, and sometimes it is obvious they are over their head and will always be over their head - see a listof many dozens of prospects and guys who were just hanging on - just getting to The Show for their one claw at being with the best - and ... but it's fun each and every time for us fans to see the new players make their debut, ssee what they got, see for ourselves. Why am I rambling?
  9. His range at second base seems impressive (4.7 per 9 innings) and at SS 4.4. It would appear then that he gets to an awful lot of batted balls. He just turned 22, he hardly ever strikes out. What's not to like? (Having not seen him play.)
  10. Schoop made a terrible blunder that turned out okay because no one scored that inning. It should never happen again.
  11. Yup, used to be called Hot Springs. Wish they'd change their name back (but that's just me).
  12. Good one. But did you know that Staples is the only town (so far as I know) that has sold the rights to its name?
  13. Sano doesn't look any lighter than last year, does he?
  14. I like looking up translations. Vogelbach means "Bird Creek." Kind of pretty, I bet.
  15. Pineda's uniform doesn't have a tilde over the "n." Baseball Reference says his names is pronounced without it. Why all of a sudden has Dick Bremer, Master of World Cultures, become to say Piñeda?
  16. Here is a funny review of today's Indians/Orioles fiasco from a pretty funny guy.
  17. Ha ha, wouldn't it be funny if Seattle came all the way back and drove us all insane?
  18. I missed most of that big inning due to technical difficulties. I presume more innings will like that follow soon.
  19. If a woman named Aurora had child named Alice you could that auroraborenalis.
