  1. Should be interesting to see who gets that infielder spot.
  2. Came back from lunch...put on Gameday...wow
  3. At this point the last 3 bullpen spots should be Burton, Maloney, and Manship or Waldrop. Still a few weeks of spring left to decide.
  4. Besides Morneau, offense looked good today.
  5. Morneau will get there. It's been awhile since hes played
  6. I still think Marquis can do better then this, but he does need to show it sometime in spring.
  7. We really got 5 runs off Halladay in 2 2/3 innings? Plus 2 HRs? nice Sucks its only spring.
  8. I hope to see Nishioka step up and take over SS. (hope not expect though)
  9. I think the fences are fine. Other teams don't have issues hitting HR here.
  10. Radke was good during our down years and was vital in the beginning of the last decade. Twins HOF yes, number retired no.
  11. Even though I picked Cabrera(how can you not) I really think Valencia is going to have a monster year. 20+ HR 85+ RBI
  12. Contract for around a million maybe, but we really shouldn't overpay for him. Waldrop, Burton and Maloney have all looked great so far this spring. We might not even need Wuertz at this point, but of course you can never have enough pitching.
  13. Tampa just scored only run of the game on a Hughes throwing error...ouch
  14. Best thing out of Liriano's outing...0 walks in 3 innings.
  15. Great news. Congratulations Lindsay!
  16. Great deal for both sides. I remember talk from a few years ago that Perkins mght not stay with the team. I'm glad everything worked out.
  17. 1-0 Baltimore after 2 innings. Pavano gives up 3 hits and a walk in the second after a solid first inning.
  18. No one else started the thread so here we go! Thanks to Joe Christensen from StarTribune for posting lineups. TWINS (3-2) 1. Denard Span, CF 2. Tsuyoshi Nishioka, 2B 3. Josh Willingham, RF 4. Pedro Florimon, SS Scheduled pitchers: Carl Pavano, Alex Burnett, Luis Perdomo, Jason Bulger, Jared Burton, Esmerling Vasquez, Daryl Thompson, Casey Fien. ORIOLES (1-2) 1. Endy Chavez, RF 2. J.J. Hardy, SS 3. Adam Jones, CF 4. Chris Davis, 1B 5. Matt Wieters, C 6. Mark Reynolds, 3B 7. Wilson Betemit, DH 8. Nolan Reimold, LF 9. Robert Andino, 2B Scheduled pitchers: Wei-Yin Chen, Armando Galarraga, Luis Ayala
  19. For those of us who are fortunate enough to live in the Twin Cities area, I'm curious how many of us on Twins Daily have season tickets. I have a 20 game plan (Package D) and I am in section 225. I've had season tickets since 2010.
  20. Maloney has a good chance. I'm thinking its going to be either Doyle or Burton.
  21. Didn't the Twins want Ellsbury and Lester for Santana? Imagine if that would have happened...I would be happy with either player. Most recent trade that bugs me the most is JJ Hardy. We got nothing in return (Hoey is just...yeah.) All the talk about needing a stable SS and we had one. I'm happy he's tearing it up in Baltimore.
  22. I've only been to a few: Metrodome Target Field Fenway Park And Hammond Stadium.
  23. Revere's biggest weakness is his arm. He has been working hard on improving it, but you can only improve arm strength to a certain point. If he can be accurate that will help the most. Otherwise good game for the Twins. Pitching looked solid and we took advantage of the Rays errors.
  24. First Inning was good. He really did fall apart in the second. Nerves finally got to him and it looked like he was trying way too hard. He was easily overpitching as he had 3 wild pitchs. He should bounce back. First outing with a new team, you really want to impress. Anderson needs to work on his tempo and he should improve. His next outing will show a lot.
  25. One bad SPRING TRAINING game and all the haters come out. And you call yourselves Twins fans...
