  1. Yeah, I'll probably regret spending one blissful week in the Windy City when I could have had coffee every single day, huh?
  2. Aw, I would have to miss out on National Espresso Day. I could use the energy, but I can't afford anything stronger than water at the moment. I'm planning on vacay next summer with my bff, and on my budget, every penny counts. I'm not sure if it's stupid or not to save up just to throw it all away at once, but...I've never been outside of MN, WI, and IA. Time to expand my horizons. I used to be a roasted cashew addict until my brother found mouse droppings in the container. And you can't beat cranberry anything. Today's a good choice of foods, imho.
  3. That damn football game is right. So we still can't beat those blasted cheeseheads. Somehow that doesn't come as the slightest shock. On a slightly more pleasant note, only 91 more days till the Twins' pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training. I seem to remember Twins Daily having a countdown clock till opening day earlier this year...could we have a ST clock for now? I want to be reminded on a daily basis without any effort on my part....
  4. My astute deductions of this paragraph have led me to the conclusion that Mr. Stohs has very short feet.
  5. I believe it's high time we resurrect this thread. This year, it's a different tune we get to hear. Cackle...God sure finds Aaron Rodgers' sex life to be interesting. I can't wait until he's so pissed he kicks the whole Pack back into the sewer in which they originated so the players can have sex whenever and wherever and however they want. Snicker...now I know why the Vikings have sucked...it never occurred to me that God played favorites. I guess I was wrong and consequently chose the wrong team...hahaha. Well, all I can say is, once they're back in the sewer we can http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view3/1214769/moss-moonin-o.gif all we want. And from a Packers fan forum, this gem:
  6. I should have verified...I made it and then looked for the PB yes, before I grilled it...I was frying it when I made the post. I don't know whether to be more relieved that I was spared the disgustingness of the sandwich or regretful that I can't come back with a scathing report of your tastes.
  7. So I made the sandwich...and then realized that we don't have any PB in the house. Mr. Sixel's son obviously doesn't reside here. Anyway, I'm disinclined to substitute almond butter for peanut butter, at least in this instance. You have to give me credit for the attempt.
  8. And? AND????
  9. Well...I haven't eaten yet...I suppose it calls for creamy peanut butter? And what do you do anyway? PB one side and cheddar cheese the other and then grill away? My stomach is turning at the thought...a feeling I don't normally experience.
  10. I'm okay with stupid. I've been called much worse things in my lifetime! The problem is, as it so often happens, in this instance, stupid is clearly right.
  11. To coin your own specialty word, ISH. That's one instance in which I will NOT eat cheese. But it's not the cheese's fault.
  12. All I can say is.....Go for it, bud!
  13. RIP, The Frond Office and Settling for Mediocrity thread.
  14. CRUNCHY! Any day, any time. If you want the cream, chew. And if you like the crunch, don't settle for peanuts when there's PB at hand...peanuts are truly horrible, though I'll grudgingly admit they've miraculously redeemed themselves through peanut butter, clinching a place for themselves in this world. Still, PB isn't exactly my thing. When is National Cheese Day??? Cheese to me is like PB to Mike's son. It's mankind's greatest creation, and it comes in countless varieties, each representing different cultures in their own unique way. It's not uncommon for me to go through nearly a whole brick in one sitting, even ordinary cheddar cheese, and the only thing that stops me is my kindhearted generosity; it wouldn't do to completely exclude the rest of my family from this wonderful food. Cheese>>>anything else on the planet. I'm constantly being teased about taking a little [---] with my cheese. Heh...you'd almost think I was a Packers fan.
  15. Okay...um...would you describe chowder as brothy, stewy, or saucy? Or is it just...chowder? Does it spill when you're concentrating on not spilling it? To me that defines soup (though soup doesn't define that, or else ChiTown's green smoothies would fall into that category). Er, and in answer to your last question, yes. Kind of like how bread is flour.
  16. Soup has broth while chili doesn't. And if you know of a soup that doesn't have broth, we'll have to quote Einstein and say, "If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts." By the way, are tomatoes vegetables? There most definitely is a correct answer to that one, though I've had lot's of people argue with me about it...it's my pet peeve, so I'm counting on you to get it right.
  17. Pfft...you guys have it all wrong. A hotdog is either a sandwich, a hotdog, neither, or both. Easy, right? And as for soups...yes, TN, you're damn right. Chili's a soup since you eat it with a spoon. You know, kind of like ice cream.
  18. Like you, I don't believe that ISIS is "not Islam." Not having actually seen/heard Obama say this, I don't know his exact words; could he have merely been saying that the Islamic State doesn't define the religion? With that I couldn't agree more. Like Wood, I think that ISIS leaders are indeed true Muslims. That doesn't mean that either of us think that non ISIS members aren't true Muslims. To take a stance on that issue would not only be joining them in a childish argument similar to that of Baptists and Catholics. Religion is all about interpretation. I feel like the only reason anyone would take a stance on any given side over another would be because they were defending their religion of choice. And that, my friend, involves conflict of interest.
  19. Hold on a minute...are you telling me that Earthlings discovered the capital of Neptune before they discovered the planet itself? Except back in the day we might have been better known as Pig's Eyers....
  20. Okay...I've always been discouraged from using Wikipedia as a reference, but in this particular instance I'll go ahead. Demonyms. You could be like the Filipinos and simply call yourself a Mankato. It...works.
  21. You mean...I've been wrong all these years? I'm really from PSR 1257+12 B?
  22. A resident, yes, but as I hail from Neptune, how do I explain my past?
  23. I thought that was the point of these national days....??
  24. Why haven't I heard of this escapade before?
