  1. I like Juan Centeno. He plays a brand of baseball that I appreciate. Play tricks on your opponent, that's what makes baseball fun.
  2. Got him with the fastball change up curve!
  3. Dick's onto something here. Jepsen needs to throw his fastball change up curve.
  4. Great minds drink a lot. That one's mine from way back.
  5. Anybody else notice Centeno just sat down for a Jepsen pitch? Must have called for a curve... Man, would I hate to have a pitch skip into my inner thigh from that position.
  6. Four run lead into the 9th. For Jepsen, that's a save situation.
  7. I always liked Jeff Manship's attitude. Too bad he just doesn't have great stuff.
  8. May's fastball is actually a pretty effective weapon. When he's on (!) he can spot it to all four corners, and his two-seamer does have good movement. Today his fb command is so-so, but he's getting by and mostly avoiding the middle. Apparently he doesn't feel good about his off-speed stuff today.
  9. Just broke a hummingbird feeder. Damn. At least it was the worst of the three.
  10. Batters get themselves out, if you let them...
  11. Goodness, if May has a straight change, now is the time...
  12. Trevor May has successfully out-thunk his catcher.
  13. Take Duffey out, or leave him in? Seriously, who ya got that's better, even if he's tired?
  14. Duffey throws a perfect curve for strike three. Ball.
  15. I was just thinking Jorge Polanco looks like a ballplayer, and now he does this.
  16. Marnie Gelner: "You know I'm all about that bass." Fish. Scores two.
  17. I like what I'm seeing from Juan Centeno. Do we got us a gen-u-wine Latino catcher? Don't let go!
  18. It is hard to defeat the Rule of Thirds.
  19. I have been told that drugs in my case would be redundant. Such is life.
  20. Something odd going on here... The Twins are winning!
  21. I wasn't fishing for compliments, but it's nice to be noticed. ;-)
  22. I haz a sad about double negatives. Used as a pretext by old white schoolmarms to browbeat little black kids. The rationale was that the double negative was multiplicative, whereas in fact it has always been additive. "I ain't got no double negatives no-how" isn't multiplying negative times negative times negative. It's three no's piling on top of each other. I oftin haz axe myseff if'n mah prejuices pops up in funky spots. Folks be talkin' all difrent ways. Better chuckle than sneer, I s'pose. Walk around lookin' down yer nose, you'll trip on a stick.
  23. Harsh judgement. You see a guy with a really live arm, coming off an injury. He's a former high draft pick, brings the ball mid-90's, sharp breaking ball... You grab him with Rule 5, stash him a year, see that he still needs some polish. Sometimes these moves don't work out. If Graham were a sure thing, he would never have been a Rule 5 guy.
