  1. For a big guy, he moves really well. No, not again...!
  2. Thank you Byung Ho Park. Finally, something else to talk about...
  3. Damn! It's too easy, I can't stop! They just keep coming!
  4. I know and I'm sorry. Too many Dick jokes; I'm cutting myself off.
  5. I write 'Dick got his wish,' and nobody bites on it. What gives?
  6. Dang, when Sano gets that massive home run swing going, it doesn't leave much doubt. Does Sano hit any homers LESS than 400 feet?
  7. Dick wants it so bad for Sano to make his prediction right...
  8. Two great plays on one double play. Nunez with a nice spin-toss, then Park with a reach, then a good tag. These guys are battling. I do give them credit for that.
  9. You took the hit, you did your time for the Family. That's gotta be worth money.
  10. Hitting is fun when the pitcher stays middle out all day.
  11. And then, there was the 4th inning. Bert's right. Time for Eine Kleine ChinMusik.
  12. Park should be able to hit Gee's stuff. He's seen lots of pitchers with curves that good, and his heater is very average.
  13. Wow, that was impressive pitching by Duffey. All his pitches worked, including a beautiful straight change-up over the outside corner. When Bender hits his spots, he can be a very stingy honcho.
  14. Nunez is seeing basketballs today. Replies: 1. Better than seeing pink elephants. Trust me. 2. Quit staring at me in the shower! 3. Luckily he's hitting baseballs. Basketballs hurt!
  15. Dozier struck out, but I noticed he did keep his head in, which means he could see the ball go under his bat. That's actually a very good sign. Keeping your head near the scene of the crime is very important to hitting a ball.
  16. Nunez is seeing basketballs today.
  17. Whoa, that was scary. Both guys yelling, "I got it!" That was almost a nasty collision.
  18. The Law of Thirds works because it's just as hard for a good team to win more than two thirds of their games as it is for a bad team to lose two thirds. That last third is tough. It may have to do with the ratio of pi to the size of an average dessert plate. You can get about a third of a pie on the plate, but that still leaves two thirds of the pie, and if you try to eat more than two thirds of a pie, it's hard. Don't even try it with a cheesecake...
  19. Good to see Dozier hit a dinger. He's looked so miserable the last few weeks, it was sad.
  20. I like the way Grossman flips the bat back and forth in front and behind his helmet. It's kinda cute.
  21. On the other hand, the Law of Thirds is on our side. Very hard for even the worst teams to lose more than two thirds of their games...
  22. Dick's been predicting great things from Duffey and Sano today. His predictions have been, shall we say, less than accurate this season.
