  1. After 23 years you should know the answer to this question.
  2. thanks for the update. Great to hear he is doing well.
  3. Do they really think it is necessary to clear the outfield seats? Just the let the couple thousand or so that show up on Friday, pick out a nice spot in the infield and enjoy the game.
  4. I'm at work, how do you score one run on 4 hits? Morneau didn't score from second on a single with two outs? Doumit assumed he would just score and advanced from 1st to third only to find Morneau still standing on the bag?
  5. now off to KC. I think I know the consensus, but do keep Hicks in the leadoff spot tomorrow?
  6. swarzak with the win on his first day back.
  7. 4 runs on 4 hits. this is the definition of stealing one.
  8. galaxy s3 and it went to the mobile AP.
  9. nicely done Nick. Now how are you at predicting the number of runs that will be scored by this lineup?
  10. Rotation poker hands: AL Central - CBSSports.com I got a chuckle out of this one. They give each starting rotation a poker hand value. The tigers are a full house, 9's over 6's and the Twins get a 9 high. No pairs, no face cards. From the brief recap for the Twins, I like Worley, but his transition to the AL won't be kind, especially since he's been thrust into the role of staff ace, for which he's ill-suited. Acquisitions Correia and Pelfrey are mediocre and unexciting while Hendriks and Diamond have limited upside. It's time for the season to start, that is if the weather lets us.
  11. I'm with ya. I'm ready for Spring weather and baseball to arrive, however since the high temp on Wednesday should be hovering around 20 degrees, I think I'll wait for April 1.
  12. So what do you think is the competition over? the season starts 3 weeks from Monday. Does Masty have enough time to get healthy and still play his way into a starting job?
  13. People have always cheated. They don't always get caught. I think everyone looks for a level playing field. too bad this isn't the second offense for Braun, if in fact he is found guilty this time.
  14. I have a feeling that everyone is going to get there chance for a start or two in April and May. Hopefully we will be in a position to reward future starts for only those that earn them. For his first taste at the major league level, De Vries really didn't pitch that bad. He kept us in most of the games. The key will be does he make improvements in his second go round.
  15. I heard some suppossed minor league expert on KFAN this morning talking about this exact subject. If I remember correctly, I think he said that Hicks would be up with the big club in early June. Enjoyed your segment Seth.
  16. Best player available. Period. Appel or Manaea fall to us at number 4, but we have to take whomever our scouts have rated the highest. Is there another Buxton out there? There is a lot of baseball to be played this spring before the draft. Who knows what player is going to step up and put together a phenomial season.
  17. how does the saying go? You can't win the position in the first 2 weeks, but you can sure lose it. As long as one of the three doesn't play so poorly that they no longer even get a look, I would expect the competition really will be the final two weeks. Who is playing best heading into the season. Who steps up there play as the pressure to make the cut increases.
  18. and Gibson doesn't make it out of the second
  19. Listening on the radio, first TV game is on march 8th.
  20. masty doubles off of Gausman. I still think the CF job is his to lose at this point.
  21. More worried about Plouffe preforming at the major league level in the field, rather than his hitting. the guy has the tools, just can't consistently make the plays. It has to be frustrating for him along with everyone else.
  22. Today from Buster Olney "The agent for Kyle Lohse called the Yankees this week to ask if they'd have interest in the pitcher. They don't." Can you envision any senario in which Lohse would end up with the Twins in 2013? I know the issues with how badly this relationship ended last time he was in Minnesota, but apparently we had trouble handing money over to starting pitchers. He is obviously not getting the dollars or the teams that are top on his list. He isn't going to sit out the season. 1% chance we land him? less than that?
  23. The early game was a 4-0 loss. Wonder how many major leaguers the Bosox played in today's game? Still very nice to see that both Berrios and Meyer pitched well.
