  1. With the Diamond Cutter tomorrow night, three in a row is a real possibility!
  2. It will be Matt Lawton and his messed up equilibrium. Or it could be either Willie Banks or Pat Maholmes if they get hot.
  3. I know, I know.........It wasn't intended for you as much as I'm just old school and a bit overwhelmed by all the new data
  4. Whatever happened to regular stats? Batting Average, Doubles, Home Runs, & RBI?
  5. I would go after either John McGraw or Casey Stengel. McGraw loved the small ball style and I think he's available if the price is right.
  6. CDog................. So by that rational, you are absolutely correct. Anything would have been better than his previous starts. He was completely brutal before last night! Last night was okay at very, very best. I didn't see positive strides in the least, regardless of how many runs he gave up or innings he pitched. If we had any minor league system right now, Liriano clearly would not be a starter.
  7. I can't believe that we have dummied down expectations so much that last night was considered positive steps for Liriano. He still gave up 4 runs in six innings and didn't have the best control. When coming out of the game he threw his glove and stomped around. This guy has the tools, but is a complete head case. I have no confidence in him whatsoever. Sadly he will still get a decent contract from someone in free agency, but it won't be from the Twins.
  8. I enjoy the taste of vomiting in my mouth more
  9. A lot of great moments, but my favorite was Gomez racing around third and sliding in safely. I happened to run in to Gomez at MOA the night before the game and wished him good luck in passing. He hadn't played much in those last few months leading up to 163, but came up big when it mattered.
  10. Excellent post! The different ballparks just might be my favorite part of the sport. Each one is unique and part of the fabric of a community. Enjoy the season my friend!
  11. I don't think he ever sees Major League Baseball again. I would assume he'll end up back in Japan by the end of the year if not sooner.
  12. No way this guy could have won a batting title in any league. He is terrible from both sides of the plate, can't bunt and has average speed at best. That Japanese league must be similar to town ball.
  13. This one is a no brainer. Kipnes easily has the biggest upside of the group and has star potential written all over him. When I was in Cleveland for the Twins series in August last year, I saw one of the wittiest signs in a while. It read "We are all Kipnesses" of course in reference to the former Lebron ad campaign.
  14. Nishioka is clearly not major league talent in the field or at the plate. He shouldn't make it regardless of any other situations. The Twins brass needs to admit this was a mistake, eat the contract and move on.
  15. Full season pack in section Q for this year. I was in 320 for the first two seasons. I only missed three total games in the first 2 years.
  16. The 6-6 game at County Stadium in late '87 always stands out to me. Just the year before as a 13-year old, Puckett signed a ball for me at County Stadium. It was also signed by Ron Washington that same day. Because of those moments spent with my parents, County Stadium and Puck's 6-6 game will always have a special place for me.
  17. Thrylos98.........I appreciate the love for Puckett. I knew it was during Spring Training, but didn't realize this was the date. R.I.P. Kirby
  18. Atlanta Fulton County Stadium The Big A (I attended as the original and way better renovated version recently) Busch (new and last version) Chase Field (have to try the loaded hot dogs - mac n cheese w/bacon & another with steak, peppers& mushrooms) Citizens Bank Coors County Stadium Dodger Stadium Great American Ball Park Fenway Park Kaufmann Stadium (still one of my favorites) Miller Park Nationals Park Camden Yards Progressive Field Rangers Ballpark Target Field Metrodome Met Stadium Tropicana Field (not sure what was worse - the stadium itself or the annoying cow bells) U.S. Cellular Wrigley Field Old Yankee Stadium I'm planning on attending new Yankee Stadium, Citi Field, PNC Park, Oakland and AT&T this summer
  19. Thanhs Sarah. I appreciate all your suggestions. I'm hoping to do the tour of both. Enjoy the season!
  20. I couldn't live without MLB.tv. Yes, the twins are blacked out, but you can watch a replay of any game including the twins. I watch the package on the iPad and you can switch from game to game and home or away broadcast. You can even quickly do an overlay of the boxscore while watching the game. I never have a problem with feed and I'm using comcast high speed. If you enjoy watching any game you choose or even a certain team, it's well worth the price.
  21. Is anyone planning on making the road trip to Pittsburgh and Cincinnati in June? I haven't been to PNC yet, so I can't wait. Also, fireworks on Friday night at Great American Ballpark.
  22. I have been to 18 of the current and I like Fenway and Wrigley the best. I think Kauffman is also one of the hidden gems that isn't talked enough about. Great American is a fun park with great views of the Ohio river. Awesome cheesesteak at Citizens Bank and you can't beat Boog's BBQ and the warehouse at Camden. Thanks to Camden, we have so many beautiful new, retro style parks. On the flip side, I find Miller Park overrated. Nice inside, but the retractable roofs diminish the looks a bit. From the outside, Miller and Chase look like warehouses. Just less aesthetically pleasing to me. Anyone else making the road trip to PNC and/or Great American for the Twins series?
  23. It's got to be Bull Durham. I'm still trying to learn to breath out of my eyelids
  24. The upcoming draft is going to be huge to start to replenish our depleted minor league system. In the meantime, the Twins need Sano to turn in to a stud at the big league level in the next few years and be a third baseman with power that we can pencil in to the line-up for a dozen years.
