  2. I think the White Sox are completely unsure of what they are even doing, so I'm envisioning the cellar. They seem to be building for the future by trading Quentin and letting Buehrle go. Yet they dump a young, cheap Santos which seems contradictory. I would like to think the Twins can still out pitch the Royals at this point for 3rd place.
  3. I don't think Fielder is the worst first baseman in the league, but he definitely makes his fair share of errors. Re-Converting Cabrera back to a third baseman is a scary thought I'm sure for Tigers fans. It wouldn't surprise me if Cabrera might have difficulty leaving his fielding woes behind when he comes to the plate. As we all know, baseball is such a mental game and Cabrera has proven at times to be a bit of a headcase. It sounds like Raburn will be getting most of the starts at second base. This infield has the potential to be a disaster. I'm sure the Tigers are planning on using Delmon Young as the designated hitter more often than not. This would be a wise move, because with Young in the field, the Tigers only get worse defensively. With all this being said, I still think the Tigers will find a way to pitch well enough and do enough damage at the plate to compensate. It should be an interesting storyline to follow all summer long.

  5. I'm cautiously optimistic as I'm a glass half full guy. However, there are so many "ifs" and question marks. However, I think if the defensive play is better, especially at the shortstop position, that this drastically changes things. The starting pitching will look better and go deeper in to games with better defense. There will be far less extra outs given up due to errors and get the team off the field quicker. It should also keep the bullpen a bit fresher by not having to pitch 4 and 5 innings a game.
  6. Thank you Andrew. Enjoy the upcoming season. I can't wait! Scott
  7. I'm heading to Yankee Stadium in April to see the Twins series and then taking in Citi Field for the weekend series. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on what I need to see or do at each park? I plan on taking a tour of both stadiums.
