  1. I've seen about as much of Joe Ryan tonight as I can stomach!
  2. Another considerable understatement.
  3. They seem to have an uncanny knack for that.
  4. Looks to me like he's almost 100% guessing at the plate. And usually guessing dead wrong.
  5. Royally botched that opportunity. Big surprise there.
  6. And one Taylor in their bullpen.
  7. Agree. Stranger things have definitely happened.
  8. Based on recent starts, it almost looks like we need 5 starters, which probably means we won't get anyone of significance, if we even get anyone.
  9. A considerable understatement.
  10. Supposedly 3 of the top 4 or 5 minor leaguers in the Seattle system.
  11. More likely to be DFAed, on the basis that what team would want a mediocre fielding first baseman who strikes out in close to half of his at-bats. And if you could, you'd probably be lucky to get a bag of used balls for him. On the flip side, none of this may happen, because of the amount of money they're paying him.
  12. Another Sano K. Nice to know that some things never change. Sigh!
  13. Not sure it'll happen tonight. Already seen my share of meatball pitches from Ryan and we're only through two innings.
  14. But not the least bit surprising.
  15. Problem is we'd likely need a lot more than that to have anything resembling a decent shot at the World Series this season.
  16. Nice thought, but realistically is probably nothing more than wishful thinking.
  17. I called it that because no sooner did we take the lead, bullpen gave it up. Then our all or nothing offense went completely silent. Then a boatload of walks at inopportune times led to our eventual downfall. My logic, FWIW.
