  1. Don't forget about the Cardinals.
  2. Yeah, but I'm not surprised. It's Timberwolves. We gave up a 1st rounder for Thad. Thad could net something worthwhile this year, and if he opts in to a 1 year contract next year, it will be even more valuable. Trading for a $12 mil player when you could have kept Jeff Adrien for chump change? I mean you gotta pull the trigger...
  3. Grantland has great stuff from Zach Lowe and....wait, that's it. Someone said Rubio's D is a question mark... Also, Lavine is the only potential 2nd superstar on the team? The same guy who the advanced stats say is the far and away the worst player in the league (although Bennett has been making a strong push lately)
  4. Russell could certainly provide some flexibility. They could go small with Rubio, Russell, and Wiggins in together, or when Rubio's out move Russell to point and Wiggins to SG. As long as Lavine gets nowhere near the court (especially at PG!)
  5. I'm just not super high on Okafor. Yes he's a beast down low, but he's already huge (and looks a little slow)...wondering what he'll look like in 3+ years. He can't shoot outside of 6 feet, and his defense is questionable. He reminds me a lot of Al Jefferson (solid player), but at the moment I'd rather have Towns. Towns could be a real solid defender (huge wingspan) and can shoot from outside. Russell is so smooth, great handles, unbelievable shooter, silky smooth passing, and can rebound. http://i.imgur.com/L7IP8tS.gif
  6. My top 3: Towns Russell Okafor
  7. Go to stubhub an hour before the game, print the cheapest tickets, and sit wherever you please.
  8. You know who reeeeealy didn't like this pick? DPJ. Looks like he was right. I wanted a HS pitcher as well, and man look at the guys who went after him. Zach Lee, Noah Syndergaard, Taijuan Walker. I'm glad they've learned their lesson. The recent drafts have been much better (although when your pick is in the top 5 there's less room for error)
  9. Not once in the history of the franchise have they've gotten a better pick than they were supposed to. In 1992 and 2011 they had the worst record in the league. ****'s rigged.
  10. Pretty pointless thread, but it's the offseason. Does anyone have inside knowledge for what numbers Buxton, Sano, Rosario, Meyer and others will choose when they make it to the big leagues? I have an old Delmon jersey (#21), so I'm hoping one of them chooses that number. Deduno was using it last year but now "he gone".
  11. Gonna miss that.
  12. Maxxxx Williams going pro. That's too bad.
  13. These refs suck. That hands to the face call was a joke. It should have been 1st and goal on the 5 yard line. Would've been 21-3.
  14. Wow, Gophers sure are loving these fumbles. And Leidner made a pass! The rushing yards aren't that impressive considering what the Huskers gave up last week. I'd like for the Badger game to be competitive, but..
  15. Buckeyes are trying to keep the Gophers in it with all these turnovers. Maybe Leidner can get his completion rate above 30%.
  16. Well, it's certainly the same ol Leidner. 4/12, 57 yds, 0 td's, 2 INT (also missed Maye for an easy td)
  17. They looked awful against Purdue as well. (Purdue!) They won't defeat a team worth a damn as long as Leidner is back there "throwing" the ball.
  18. Hey man, Illinois is a really good football team. Lay off.
  19. Well that was short lived. http://espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/story/_/id/11797575/chicago-cubs-fire-manager-rick-renteria-one-season
  20. Did not play particularly well? My goodness.
  21. Well I disagree stongly. The Illini were commiting their entire D to stopping the run. Anytime Leidner was on the move and tried to make a throw, it wouldn't be close. Obviously the Cobb fumble late in the game was crucial, but with a competent QB they wouldn't have been in that situation. I know you love the Gophers and would never see a negative thing about them, but their offense is going nowhere with Leidner.
  22. He had receivers open all day. That was hard to watch.
  23. Leidner's an absolute bum.
  24. I predict he'll sign with the Cubs. Book it.
  25. With the Twins now tied with the Astros, you'd think the Astros with the better h2h record would result in us getting the better pick. But for some reason the tiebreaker is the previous year's standings...looks like the Stros are gonna have 2 picks ahead of us. Looks like we'll end up with the "5th" pick (6th player overall). The Twins aren't even good at losing.
