  1. What do you call someone who points out the obvious?
  2. Given the New Jersey education system, he was probably translating English.
  3. 'member when we led this game, 5-0? Like, four hours ago? That was awesome.
  4. Guy walks into a bar, and feels threatened. There at the bar sit past, present, and future. "Tense in here," says the barkeep.
  5. They're almost identical. Both about 34, 35 inches in length. Thicker on one end, tapering towards the handle. A knob at the bottom.
  6. You lost me somewhere in there, friend.
  7. The Twins drew almost the exact same number of people in 2014 as they did in 1991. People aren't priced out of going to a ballpark. And my guess would be if Twins Daily has any effect at all on attendance, it's to increase it, ever so slightly.
  8. You might be able to find an open seat later in tonight's game.
  9. I took my grandkids to the Tucson Zoo today. Turns out it's not a very big zoo. In fact, they only have one animal on display, a dog. It was a Shih Tzu.
  10. ****ity **** **** ****. *** ******.
  11. We might not be done scorin'. But we ain't done pitchin' yet, either.
  12. The Twins are on their third pitcher and not one of em is capable of hitting 90 on a consistent basis. To quote the Dixie Chicks: "There's your trouble."
  13. Quick show of hands: Who here thinks Mauer takes a HR swing at that 2-0 pitch if he was in the same position as Trout?
  14. My opinion of Achter hasn't changed.
  15. Just checking in. Still scoreless, I presume?
  16. I'm not sure how they avoid it, but the Twins really had no business running Hughes out there for a guaranteed short start. Particularly since they had to have known his velo wasn't back. I was sitting at home thinking..."first pitch breaking ball, Sano." That pitch was the proverbial gift from god.
  17. I like the format, and have since it was announced. It restores the worth of winning a division, while bowing to the inevitability of expanded post seasons. One game is perfect, it adds a little benefit to the number one seed, and makes for great TV to boot. In many seasons, it will keep multiple markets interested late into the season.
  18. It wasn't all Leidner, but it was mostly Leidner IMO. The play calling looks bad because the QB can't throw, for example. Teams don't respect the passing game, pack the line, and it looks like you can't run. And my problem with that remains the same...I am not confident it will get better. And bad QB play is really tough to overcome. Hope he proves me wrong, because I don't think they will change QBs.
  19. Not sure how Liedner can be defended after today's effort. That first half was about as bad as an offense can play, and it was largely on Liedner. He's just not a D1 QB. He's not a DIII QB.
  20. I think it's reasonable to think his production might improve with more rest, as well.
