    Chief Jr is a USAF pilot and recently he and his family PCS'd to Andrews AFB outside DC. Mrs Chief and I are already planning a trip to see the grandkids for next June. A ballgame at Philly will for sure be on the agenda. Depending on how it all works out she and I might drive from MPLS. If so, there will be baseball on both ends of the trip. Even if Mrs Chief doesn't yet know it.

    Ditto. ST Louis as well for me. Which is why I claim "cities" vice stadiums. Soon I'll need to add Las Vegas I guess. Easy drive for me from Tucson.

    Take a drive to KC for a series next year. 6 hrs from MPLS. Beautiful stadium. Eat some BBQ. Not expensive. Worth every penny. Milwaukee and Chicago are also easy drives.

    MLB has told it's official scorers to award errors only only plays that would have been made by "an average fielder with ordinary effort."

    Huh. To each their own. Of the 24 MLB MLB cities I've attended MLB games in, Oakland is easily at the bottom of the list. Absolutely awful stadium in a crappy part of a nondescript city. Worse than Tampa, even.

    It's "throwback hat" weekend across MLB. The Athletics batting helmets have the current "A's" logo. Their hats feature an old "A," I believe from the KC Athletics days. Twins are wearing the "M" hats from the WS era.

    Nice big crowd at TF tonight. Jersey giveaway was legit, right down to stitched on lettering. No cheap knockoff. And we went home happy.

    Got one! Note: It’s an actual jersey, complete with stitched on lettering. I'm impressed. Stood in line from 2:45. Worth it.

    I guess i have trouble with the idea that 2 relievers, each pitching 1 inning-scoreless, I grant you-each provided more win probability than a starter who went 7 and gave up only 1 run. Junk stat, IYAM.
