Well, good news is, Twins are getting runners on base. 7 hits 2 walks in 3 innings. Is it a "clutch" thing? I gotta lead, heck, just throw fastballs. Bases loaded, yeah, swing for the fences. It's getting to the point beyond weird.
Aggie, I gotta tell ya I've been skipping out of Game Day Threads just for these reasons. And I'm pretty sure others are for the same reason, as well. We're not blind to what's been going on with the Twins. I just enjoy watching the games and chatting with those who do. Ok?
Yeah. Nunez's hitting makes it a need to get him somewhere in the infield on a regular basis. I don't really remember the circumstances on why Sano played 5 games at third. I do remember management saying that Sano would return to right field. I guess I'm still looking at this season as a season of change.
A different article / new approach Buxton is using. Pretty interesting stuff. http://www.1500espn.com/twins-2/2016/06/new-approach-why-byron-buxton-is-visualizing-hits-to-the-second-baseman/ I didn't watch the entire game yesterday, but Buxton looked much better. It's not a leg kick, closer to a slide step. Doesn't matter; it's a timing mechanism. Wash, Rinse, Repeat ! Like this quote from Molitor: “Generally not too many hitters are going to be looking at the left field corner,” Molitor said. “It’s just not the way to hit. You’ve got to look out to where you just try to cover as many pitches as you can.” Sound like someone else we know with hitting issues?
