  1. 3-0 with a guy who has been struggling to find the zone on his previous 7 pitches and Buxton gets greenlighted. I swear, we may have all these analytics at our fingertips (blech) but there's just no thinking going on sometimes.
  2. If that would have been Margot in CF, he'd have taken the Family Circus route to that fly ball.
  3. Most of us aren't in the demographic that MLB wants to target with all these new threads. I'm watching the Dodgers right now and they're wearing their alternates and I will never understand how a team with a jersey as iconic as the Dodgers would ever go away from it for a single home game. Say what you want about the Yankees but at least they told MLB to go pound sand when the idea was presented to them.
  4. I feel like Brooks needs one of those chin straps we used to wear on our helmets in t-ball just so it stays on his head when he swings.
  5. Margot showed in the first inning when he made that catch on the track that he's overmatched in a big outfield like Oracle's. His routing on every ball he chased today was like the Geico Siri Cha-Cha slide commercial. #1, don't dive for that ball, you weren't going to get it. Keep it in front and keep Yaz at 2nd. Secondly, there either needs to be some smarts or some communication because Lee was never going to get Yaz at 3rd so why even throw that ball? Duran channeling his inner Severino also didn't help the situation. So as asked by others, if Bux can run, why can't he play CF? You put him in for Margot as a defensive replacement and Camargo goes in the leadoff slot. That's not all that difficult. Someone in that clubhouse needs to explain that thinking. As for Camargo, that move really paid dividends this weekend. He played all of 1/2 inning (those with 'under' tickets can proceed to the window) and the hope of getting Jeffers some rest never happened.
  6. This series has been a giant regression for Wallner.
  7. So when do we drop the bunt down to get something started? It's only a 2-run game.
  8. Anyone ever attended a no-hitter/perfect game? Anyone played in one?
  9. I think it's gonna happen. You need one of those Wisely plays in a no-no/perfecto.
  10. Love the Herr selection. That dude was miserable the entire time he wore a Twins uniform. Off the top of my head, I'd have Allan Anderson (he started and won the 1st Twins game I ever attended...and still disliked him afterwards), Sam Dyson, Emilio Pagan, Matt Capps, and probably Herr.
  11. It's been 12 years since the Twins were last no-hit. According to NoNoHitters.com, that's the 4th-longest streak in MLB.
  12. His routing on the catch he made as well as the Wade double was like he was actively avoiding the ball for as long as possible.
  13. HOW FRICKIN HARD IS IT TO CATCH A THROWN BALL, SANTANA??
  14. The ASB couldn't come at a better time for this team. Let's get this rubber game (presented by Trojan) and go into the break on a happy note.
  15. I'd wager a penny that we see Correa and Bux tomorrow. And if not, maybe Jeffers can play 3rd to switch things up a bit.
  16. Patchwork lineup somehow comes through and the bullpen locks it down. Well done, everyone!
  17. Frickin called 3rd strikes. What are they teaching these guys these days?
  18. Of course Jorge would have a good outing with his namesake island nearby.
  19. Why the hell are we running Castro there?
