    That one was definitely over the top. But that's the problem for me, they are creating so many that when you have one like tonight, I am tuning out. If they did them less I would probably react a little differently.

    Jenkins is ready to be up here to continue his development for this year and the future. Holding him down especially if it is for Roden is to me mismanagement.

    What has he done to earn this extended run. In nearly 200 ab's in the major leagues he has a batting ave. 191 and OPS of .544. You seriously going to take AB's away from Keaschall or Larnach for that kind of production. If you are trying to force someone into the lineup it should be a top prospect like Jenkins. Roden was not a good pickup and he is only taking ab's away from players who have more of a future with the Twins.

    They ruled two errors on the play, one on Messick and one on Bazanna.

    Everything else is ruled a hit in today's baseball, I was very surprised they ruled an error. I am sure it will be changed at some point.

    Wallner hasn't been able to sustain any success up here and probably is done with the Twins. ERod is out of options and will have to be on team next year unless he gets another option year due to his injury this year. Jenkins should be up here before Roden. His ceiling is as a fourth outfielder, don't force playing time for someone with that profile.

    Base hit up the middle, way to go Royce, at least that is what it will look like in the box score.

    There is no reason to send Keaschall down, he does need to learn how to challenge. No I don't like everyone moving around, it keeps hurting them.

    There are 9 outfielders on the 40 man roster and that doesn't include Keaschall, Jenkins or Rosario. They need to clear some guys for playing time both here and St. Paul. That is going to make it hard for Roden to get playing time and he hasn't really done anything to force issue when getting called up. My fear they are going to platoon Roden and Keaschall which to me would be a very bad move, hopefully we will know more about that with tomorrow night's lineup. Roden just added to the logjam of outfielders that they need to figure out who can play and who can't.

    And in 178 AB's he has an average of .191 and OPS of .544. These are similar to the numbers he posted last year for Toronto in the first month of the season when he got regular playing time. Time is running out for him to make an impact and that easily could have been foreseen. He was not a young prospect when we got him and he was redundant in a position already full with similar players. That was why this trade never made sense.

    There will be zero interest in Kreidler, this is a piece you can pick up on the waiver wire, you don't waste an asset on. Trying to compare him to Castro is not even in the same ballpark. You do realize he had a .133 batting average coming into the season, no glove overcomes that unless you are Derek Falvey.

    Is this a Falvey burner account, sounds like him, sit on your hands because we don't know what the future or market will be.

    I don't think Zoll is up to the task and I think he is tied to Falvey's way. He has been a part of the personnel decisions for the last 5 years, those are Falvey's words not mine. And he feels like he is a lame duck in the position, so I am hoping they don't try to make any big moves. This is not the year for that.

    One month of production is going to make everyone forget his history. Casto had two and a half years of production. This is no different than everyone was saying Arcia would be a trade chip after his first couple of games up here. And how many teams claimed him when he was on waivers. And Kreidler has cooled off as he has played more. He is a decent utility player but he is not a needle mover.

    First, Buxton isn't going anywhere, it's bad enough when national beat writers keep beating this drum. But to fans and local writers, it has been pretty clear he wants to be here, why even bring up his name. As for what I would do, you need to move 3 or 4 outfielders for whatever you can get. Wallner is one that can go fairly easily even though he won't get much in return if anything. We have 9 outfielders on the 40 man roster and this doesn't include Jenkins, Keaschall or Rosario. They need to clear playing time in Minneapolis and St. Paul or it will start having an impact on player development. Keep Lewis, he has started to hit and I don't think you trade somebody with the upside he still has and try to tap into that.

    Your comment made it sound like someone that was on the way and would be a core piece, so we might have a different definition of core. He is someone to me that if he fights his way into the picture and can produce fine, but he hasn't that to date unlike the others you mentioned. And he is not really young anymore, he will be 27 before next season begins, that is starting to creep past prospect stage at that age.

    How is Roden a core piece, what has he done that says he is someone to build around, what is the fascination with him. He may be a fourth outfielder, but a core piece, I don't think so.

    Do you really believe there is a market for Kreidler, maybe a rookie ball prospect at best.

    You can play everybody 4 to 5 days by including the DH slot. Bell doesn't need to be in the lineup every day. This is what a good manager would do.

    A better idea is to get the best 26 players on your roster and I see a few players that Jenkins probably should be playing over. Everything else is just noise.

    How is he performing worse than Roden in St. Paul, OPS is within .50 points of Roden. A little higher batting average, less home runs but more doubles. That is if all you want to look at are stats. But put the spreadsheets away and look at the players, who is the better player. And I believe there is a consensus that Jenkins is the better player with a lot more upside potential.

    Why would Roden play the other corner spot over Keaschall who has earned it. Roden has not hit in the majors and the eye test says he is average on defense. Roden may be caught up in a numbers game because he has not been able to show much in his short time in the majors with either us or Toronto. But I am not sure where he gets playing time without moving someone either via trade or moving someone to the bench. And neither Larnach or Keaschall should be benched for him.
